Leadership Role In The FeatherCoin Community - Just Think about It
-
Community,
As you can tell, there’s quite a bit of exciting developments in the Feathercoin community. For such a young coin, we’re already making people notice. I’m not a miner myself, however, I’m ordering 6 cards to contribute to the hash rate. Personally, I ** know ** FTC is currently dirt cheap and it won’t stay like that once these initiatives start rolling. While others are worrying about pumping/dumping coins, we’re building a real infrastructure here. We will draw attention from outside the crypto community, we need to be ready for the boosts.
As our initiatives get larger and larger, we’ll need people to help lead areas of Feathercoin’s development. Here’s a few possible leadership areas:
1. Miners
2. Promotion
3. Programming
4. Artists
5. Musicians
6. Video Production
7. Documentation
8. Technical Support
9. Project ManagementEach of you have specific gifts. While I will certainly help lead the charge with all the messageboard initiatives, I look for a time when there’s a team of us running our respective areas. While people complain and complain on messageboards about this coin and that coin, you have an opportunity to have a real impact on Feathercoin.
For example, it would be nice if we had someone that could coordinate miner efforts. I just don’t have the resources to stay on that project, however, it’s critical.
********
I want to ask this community a very honest (non hyped bs) type question:
How much do you want Feathercoin to be worth? How much do you want your investment to ultimate be valued at? Right here, right now, we can answer that by how well we organize.

I prefer the enabler frame over the leader frame, but anyway.
We tried to do this in the litecoin community and it never kicked off, people need everyday items.
I still think litecoin has a role and people are pretty cool there, but what I see here is awesome.
I appreciate the message, always looking for feedback. I’m all about grassroots grabbing projects that are fun and doing it! Unfortunately, I’m struggling to keep up with emails now and all the areas… this will grow rather quickly in the next few months. I just need people that are willing to step up, be points of contacts. For example, I saw one poster ask about development docs for C++. It would be nice if there was someone watching for those types of posts and offering assistance while another is monitoring messageboards because that’s fun for them.
I’m glad you’re enjoying the community, I learn quite a bit myself lurking around the forums.

For your questions, I have only known cryptocurrencies for over a week now and Feathercoin for around 2-3 days. It is 4x easier to mine ftc (or maybe 4x more) than ltc so would that mean it wont get higher than ltc? As of today i cant see ltc or ftc getting bigger value than btc. Ofcours I wish the best for the coin and will invest soon quite a bit of money (if my job interview goes well). Hopefully giving back over 300% invested (btc gave over 2000% since start of the coin)
Things are going to get real interesting when the following happen:
- LTC hits its next few difficulty jumps
- FTC re-adjusts its difficulty bring miners back
- More ASICs hitting the public
- LTC hitting Gox
There’s a lot of variables, it’s pretty much anyone’s guess. Here’s what I do know… as we continue to promote and work with the business community with FTC, the value will increase. When my mom is able to purchase something with FTC, we will becomes serious players in the market. We don’t need to compete with BTC/LTC… just offer another option, another focus.
I’ve already pledged up to 12000 coins (I bought quite a few last night myself) matching for a Bitpay type solution. The pieces are in place now it’s time for careful but consistent execution.

I would like to just help other people as much as possible here at the forums.
Maybe we should already make a list of things we want, such as ‘How to begin FTC mining’, ‘Creating and securing your wallet’, ‘How to mine with CPU’ etc.Although most of us are already BTC/LTC miners and know how it works, there are alot of new miners that dont know exactly how to start.
Great! If you would be willing to lead that project, that would be a HUGE asset to the community. Not only helping our existing FTC members but attract other coin miners that are struggling.

Little introduce about me and some of my thought
I am a computer network manager in a hotel. My work is keep network all right and repeare company computer and other machines too,and I program sometimes. my programming exp is only three years and I just program for fun,not for work.
The first thing I can do is keep mining on FTC network, and do some docs for it.
I am not a English nation people, so forgive my mistakes in the reply:-)
And as I thought,we also need a wiki.is is very useful to record our Chang and efforts.
And we also need a email list to contact each other easily.
And also chatroom for communities.
That’s what I thoughts. -
I’m a Unix/Linux sys-admin and 2/3rd level support engineer and can certainly help with infrastructure administration if required.
I’d also be happy to help out with documentation, I also help verify and translate Ubuntu Documentation as an Ubuntu Member, so have some experience in creating and proofreading technical documentation and Wiki/how-to pages.
Happy to put some time in where I can as my hashrates are pretty low (200kH/s)
Regards,

Self taught web designer, programmer, mostly Linux, especially bash, can program quite confidently in vanilla .js and .vbs, love playing with API’s on any platform and I’m always striving to learn more.
Owned my own building industry business for 10+ years - recession and family commitments saw an end to that, looking at offering an online merchandise service accepting crypto eventually.
I’ll mine always and help out were I can. -

At the moment i am creating a getting started guide for FTC :) -
I can offer some assistance. My job entails writing/checking and approving various technical documents so I would imagine I’m more suited to proof reading etc.
I can also offer project management, production of effort/time driven program’s etc.
Sadly I’m no programmer and extremely new to FTC. I am wholeheartedly supporting this cryptocurrency however.
