I’ve actually been pointed towards FTC for the past week now (despite a low hash rate currently). The confirmation/block generation is slow, so I figure anything I can throw at it will help speed it up and hopefully help get this currency revived.
Thank you, thank you! I’ll make sure I take care of those that helped us along the way… not sure how yet, maybe some massive coin giveaways.
It’s 2:56am here… I took a quick nap and now I’m back up fighting the FUD being spread. As long as you guys walk with me, I’ll continue to push forward.
I’m not going any where. If nothing else, it’s the knowledge of helping that serves me. I have been up all night and day rebuilding my pc since it decided to crap out on me earlier, and when I hit the sack in a while I can set my intensity to 18 and let it go for it. It’s at 16 now, but checking the pool I’m over 450khash/s which … I guess is wrong, since I max out at 380+ with the gpu and 24+ with the cpu… but nutnut’s been on that one confirmation block for weehoo hours… it finally went from 7 confirms to 6. :)
5 now I just checked.
price seems to be rising slightly on btc-e too.
We’ll get there!!!

it must really be a sucky life to be greedy and constantly looking for ways to get rich… or take the money out of others work. Hopefully that guy gets that what FTC holds is a good community spirit… not saying money isn’t nice… but I’m sure as hell not making a lot. I am just glad to help !
–eta2
Woo! down to 3 confirms on that sticky block.
;) I’m actually having more fun trying to add as much as I can to the hashing and seeing how it goes, than mindlessly mining and counting coins…
-
I think many people confuse premine with early adopters…
-
There is a damn good community here, a very helpful, mature and considerate group of people.
Feathercoin has done well (its less than a month old) and its going to be very successful. -

I think i’m growing some morals… :o

Don’t do that^^ :P
Woke up this morning to see that my rigs had turned… nothing over night lol. Zero, zilch, nadda.Well, Except hot. BUT, I was happy to see we had finally found a new block.
42 hr 18 min 16 sec / 1,472,979 Shares
Not an astronomical amount of shares, but we are at 28 MH/S as of this morning of which I am pulling a little under half. It’s awesome to see people sticking it out for those kind of time frames on the hopes they can help things get better. I was honestly surprised more people hadn’t switched.

Made a starter guide for new beginners to start mining feathercoin.
Will add more details/pictures,spellchecking,reference to different pool, explaning the digital currency and so on, but have exam on tuesday so have to prioritize=)at least this guide will give someone new a opportunity to start mining ftc:

Going to turn some power back to FTC. Any stats on best pools? I have been using dig.feathecoin which has been reliable, but pool is only 19Mhash.
Great! Glad you found us.

Do any know what is happening with give-me-ftc? are they updating their site/software?
last two blocks found has been at 0 a long time now without getting confirmed.
-
It looks like those were invalid :(
A point to note. I have approached Coinotron to run a pool. He has been very busy for some time as I have been trying to pin him down on this. I have offered him a bounty to get this running and I hope it accepts my offer.

Dude you have to provide a fix ASAP.
We are losing precious time and miners every hour!
A solution has been established, Bushstar wants to run it against a well known developer in the community before implementing. I understand the urgency, however, we need to make sure this hard fork is done correctly. The retarget is a big deal and something we want to make sure is mapped out perfectly. As Bushstar mentioned, we want to make sure we don’t become bubblecoin with huge leaps in difficulty and left in the dust.
With ASICs starting to push GPU big-rigs and apps to auto mine the most profitable coin, I don’t a little more time to make sure we do it right. If you’ve been following LTC, it’s difficulty is about to cause quite a stir.
-
Is it meaningless to mine feathercoins now before the new fork comes out?
Should i redirect my miners to ltc and wait for the new fork to come out? -
How will the hard fork affect mining pools? Will we need to stop mining at our pool for a while until fixes are made, or can we just continue with no negative impact?
Also, how will it impact our older earnings (ex. I don’t keep my FC client open, just open it every few days to get the latest transactions).
Huge leaps in difficulty is constipated coin. Bubblecoin is difficulty moving up too slow vs hashrate. You have to fight both tendencies. That’s why it should have a normal mode and an evasive action mode.
-
The fork will be done in a seamless way. People update their clients and carry on as normal. When we hit a certain block the new difficulty adjust will start working, at this point old clients will not be compatible.
The only thing you need to do is update your clients when the new version is released.
-
has the new client been released?
