      Well, that’s good to know! I just yesterday traded all of my BTC on BTC-e for FTC…thought I was looking at yet another negative experience with this coin.

      Maybe things haven’t been so bad for others involved with this coin but my personal experience has been nothing but sh1t so far…but I keep on trying, hoping for the pot of gold at the end of the pile of sh1t ;D

      Yeah I read your edit, I had about 3 days wasted too and was let down by a pool doing a bunk when the going got tough, that is why I recommend the community stands behind the ones who are around now in these difficult times, and be very wary of any new pools (or unheard of pools) appearing when the good times arrive!

          None of the updates so far have been mandatory although I would always recommend people to upgrade. The next update will be mandatory. We are updating the client for Feathercoin. Nothing will be lost in the process and all your hard work will stand. I am working all the hours in the day to make this project work for everyone. After this update there should be no new updates until the community decides upon new features.

            Good article. I’m glad that you understand what we are trying to do here. This solution could be very useful to many of the other coins out there.

              #1: You can trust give-me-ftc.com I bought my 5970 that I’m selling here from the owner of give-me-ltc.com (same person).
              #2: Bitcointalk is not a great place for altcoins, too many Smeagols.
              #3: Low starting difficulty will cause huge problems.
              #4: A hard fork is a software fork. Not a new blockchain. A cold fork is a complete reboot. We are not doing that.

              Also 500 FTC would look nice in my wallet: 6r4SwvvkLTiic8EohobVGz66rXqoa6B8Xs. (just teasing)

                      I have approx. 250 khash dedicated 24 hours/day and an additional 200 12 hours/day to keep FTC alive until it’s next iteration. I’ve had to bounce between the give-me-ftc pool and the wemineftc pool as I occasionally lose connection with one of them or the other. I only wish I could dedicate 15 mhash (yes MEGA hash) like nutnut does. Man, I’d like to take a look at his rigs.

                      Edit: A question… Does anyone know if it’s more efficient to work multiple GPU’s (in the same computer) under the same worker or is it better to have each GPU on it’s own worker?

                        Antedeus - give http://www.fcpool.com/ a try. been pretty solid so far and quick to be fixed when things break. it has idle worker notifications and more 8)

                        as for the GPU question, i seperate my rigs into individual workers. That way when one goes idle and i get the notification, i know exactly which one to smack around or that my wife has found the miner running on her comp again ;D

                          LOL, my wife turns cgminer off on her comp all the time. It’s her dialy use, so no biggie. But she forgets to relaunch it when she is done. I wouldn’t care but her PC pulls 1200 kh/s.

                                I have to say, I was really touched by this plea. I have no idea why. :)

                                I don’t have many GPU’s, but I’ll put one over to the cause, and if things are heading in the right direction, I’ll put the couple more I have over.

                                For now, 260kh from a 5830 on it’s way to give-me-ftc. Thanks for posting this, and appreciate the quality of the conversation here :)
