      Imma try sumpin this weekend. But let’s admit the source of the problem: Low starting difficulty. Opposite extreme of ASIC. Same result.

          first off i dont like your proposition, and i do not think that the point of this thread should be hash for rent.
          Second how do you estimate that 3500KHash/s is worth 60$??? with 3500khash u get about 7.5ltc pr day. that equals to 25$ given todays rate… and half of that if you direct the power at bitcoin…

            I doubt the community would pay $75 per day for a rig that can only mine $25 a day tops - Any takers?

                The reality is that million+ coins were mined in first 3 hours of FTC, so why would these 3 hours be worth more than 1 month of mining?

                I can easily imagine someone who premined FTC and is stuck with 100k of them, pay such high price for something that is doomed to fail if there is nothing to start to run it.

                And it shouldn’t be just me that should ask for a rate, others should too. Its own greed for those who lost money on ftc, and if you want to give a coin a value back, you need hash rate. Otherwise big whales will use the FTC network only to extract even more money from “noobs”. Now they will be buying at bottom, then they will jump in with their gpu farms to start network back, and catch even more naive people, who think that premined coin will only go up.

                But yeah, generally mining other coins is more profitable, thats why FTC is dead atm.

                    Thank you for the offer, personally, I’m going to decline. I rather pay even a bit more for someone that had a vested interest in the coin. That’s just me… again, always appreciate offers being made within the business community. On a side note:

                    Willing drop some money on a larger miner if needed. Let me touch base with Bushstar to see what are options are… in the meantime, thank you to everyone that’s helping.

                        which coin hasn’t… the point is when ftc lies with broken back, people are still willing to sacrifice income to get it revived.
                        Im losing out on 45dollars a day (not including -12$ in power usage).
                        others here are donating over 10Mhash power which make them lose over 70$ pr day not including their powerbill!

                        Sure some are in it for other reasons like they have a large wallet with feathercoin not worth much now, but i think most of us are just
                        eager to see a good coin survive… i bought 350 feathercoins earlier today, thats all the feathercoin i have…=P

                          oh fuck! down to 88Mhash/s. someone ddosing the remaining pools?, peers down? hmm nooot good at all.

                          Hmmm the hash just skyrocketed! are we under 51% attack?

                          EDIT2:
                          went to allmost 1700 and now down to 500 again… i got a creepy feeling about this. was going to go to bed, but no way now!

                            Well maybe 70$ is high price. But since i offered so high price, it got us all to thinking about it.

                            But what if offer would be to make it as profitable as LTC? Would then people be willing to pay? If a coin is unusuable, it loses value, so something has to be done about it, if you want to get it going.

                            And indeed 3,5khash is not much at all.

                            Still, the idea is out, and in my opinion those who hold lots of coins should donate to compensate the loss.

                            In the end, its up to your community to do what has to be done, and good luck with that.

                                    Good to know.

                                    I did mine with you for a while but IIRC you had a very slow ramp up for the PPLNS. After around 10 blocks i was still around 30% payout per round. Still the case?

                                    edit: i should add that there was a very slow ramp down too (i was still getting paid out for hours after i went back to LTC mining) so i’m sure it all worked out in the end. Was just a bit worrying that’s all.
