Have you guys heard of the new coin (2 days old) caled YA Coin. You can only mine it with CPU and they have a pretty smart way of setting the diff. We, FTC are still better :)
You mean the coin that got extremely “startmined”, also which promotes botnet usage. Who says crime doesnt pay=P
Kidding aside, yes my cpus are mining that coin. if it will go somewhere, who knows. i do think there really is a marked for a pure CPU mining coin, so the average man can get into the digital currency, when my dad are able to buy a cd from the internet using a digital currency he mined from the family computer, we have a winner=P
However it has to be botnet resilient, and needs to be as all other start coins better at predicting the starting difficulty.
make it level out the playing field and be more stable in the exchange marked (what company wants to accept digital currency that all of a suddent isnt worth more than half within seconds (bitcoin fall etc), the suppliers still have to be paid…)i havent read all to much about this coin but i havent heared theyve made a smart way of figuring the diff… are you sure you dont mix up the diff with the GPU resilient feature? (making the GPU only produce a couple of times cpu and makes it not lucrative to use gpu power on)

Since feathercoin.com stat/calculator is down might be an idea to go here for updates:

I will have to agree that the start diff was low of yac but too late now. I think this forum should make a coin and implement everything that we learnt. Back to ftc… damn, the retarget is just growing :/

is there any manual how to set up pushpool? like for noobs

No time for personal nonsense, we have a lot to figure out as a community. Once I hear back from Bushstar, I’ll start coordinating efforts with everyone.
If you’re not sure why I put the edit in your response, please feel free to pm me directly. Here’s what we’re going to do:
- Stay on task
- Avoid name calling
- Attack direction not the person
There’s plenty of other boards that the above 3 is acceptable, this is a place that’s accepting of different ideas and approaches.

So what you gonna do?FTC is dying rapidly…I’ve seen lots of suggestions in here but nothing being done. Are you guys going to try and save it or let it die? If something isn’t done to turn things around soon, it’ll be a footnote in history. Already it’s worth less than a squirt of piss. By tomorrow morning it’ll be negative zero.
Real shame things went this way. I had really hoped the best for FTC…then it hit the exchanges and it looked like it stood a real chance. Almost immediately after, it began the downward spiral. So…what are you all going to do now?
Dying? How is FTC dying? The BTC/FTC value has dropped, but the community and support has grown. The value of FTC is trying to be established now, and all cryptocurrencies had their downfalls in the past. FTC is far from dead.

Got 5.8-6Mh/s on d2.cc :)
-
@ bushstar / justabitoftime - so what’s the plan now? We’ve been drumming up support for a few hours and things aren’t getting better.
We NEED a public update from you to reassure the hash donators that are loosing money trying to keep ftc alive and pursuade other potential miners that its worth it. I can’t keep my miners here indefinitely… I/we need a timescale :-\
-
Around 700 MHash now.
The current price is good as a lot of latecomers can pick it up. Unfortunately people are so scared that they will let the opportunity pass by.
Also, all the alts, including LTC have been losing ground steadily. Its not confined to FTC only.
Your concerns are obviously valid. Bushstar didn’t leave his current position to work on this fulltime to watch it die.
“glad I only wasted 3 days mining it. Now if I could only unload the 500 I have on some fool…”
You can certainly unload the 500 on me, I’d be happy to buy it up.
We appreciate everything you’re doing. I know Bushstar is weighing options, I agree a public timetable needs to be set… but more importantly, the right one needs to be set. Please give us a little more time.
Not sure you’re right. Whilst the stats page says 700MHs, thats averaged over nearly 400 blocks. At this block rate, that covers for an avergage over the last 5 days or so. The pools report 380MHs though I’m not sure over what timescale. Can we get a report over the last 10/20/50 blocks so we have a visual on whether we’re winning the fight?
Edit: getting my MHs/KHs in a twist :-[

I’ve actually been pointed towards FTC for the past week now (despite a low hash rate currently). The confirmation/block generation is slow, so I figure anything I can throw at it will help speed it up and hopefully help get this currency revived.
Thank you, thank you! I’ll make sure I take care of those that helped us along the way… not sure how yet, maybe some massive coin giveaways.
It’s 2:56am here… I took a quick nap and now I’m back up fighting the FUD being spread. As long as you guys walk with me, I’ll continue to push forward.
