Marketplace Features Requests
-
Okay. I will add some longer auction times. 10, 15 and 30 days and will look to enable auto relist. Auctions will still expire naturally but could last for a long time. This saves from having to hit the relist button at least once a week. With 30 days and auto relist of 3 would see an auction last 90 days.
My only concern is how the price might have changed in the mean time.
People are generally thinking in fiat when listing. I plan add a feature to allow people to pin to the price of fiat be it Euro, GBP, AUD, NZD or USD. Then you can list an item for $5 and leave it for 90 days waiting on that auction sold email without worrying about the price of FTC.
That would be great Bush!!
FTC price changes are what all sellers are worried about… -
Thanks Bush that would be great! The Bitmit format has the following options for buy it now listings:
1 Days 100 days
3 Days Endless
7 Days Choose Date
20 Days
30 DaysI guess auto-relist could also be tied to the number of items in stock, stock runs out listing ends?
This kind of endless listing really is key to the marketplace I think. I want to list over 200 hundred
items and always keep them up, just like a shop. Imagine how many items could be listed at once
on this site if shop style sellers were encouraged to move over here. It could literally be the difference
between there isn’t much going on over here, to bloody hell you can get tons of stuff here:) I think this
marketplace is the future of feathercoin!People are certainly thinking in Fiat!
That would be brilliant if you could give the option of pining fiat price, so it automatically adjusts.
As you are most likely aware this has been done within Bitmit. I have no idea how difficult this is
to implement, but obviously the more currency options the more user friendly and widely adopted
the feathercoin marketplace would become. Bitmit pins fiat currency’s in 12 options. Thanks for your time

I think if you added the pin to Sterling I would start adding stuff from sweetems.co.uk straight away. (Is there a way to limit buyers by country Maybe by postage options as we can only send perfume to UK?)
There is an option ‘international shipping: yes/no’ already ;)
-
Ah great thanks :-)
-
Hi could I request a new category for Perfume / Aftershave or health and beauty something like that as I cant figure out which one to put perfumes in.
cheers Kris
-
I have added the category Health & Beauty. This makes a good top tier category :)
The auction length of 10, 14 and 28 has now been added.
Coming up next is the relist option, pin to fiat, multiple shipping options and create auction templates. I think that most of these are required in a market site of this sort.
-
Thanks very much I’ll see if I can get something on today. :-)
-
Hi I have put an item on the market. I have put the buy it now price as 600FTC and shipping as 100FTC does this mean it really costs 700FTC (which is what I was wanting) or have I made a mistake and full price is 600FTC (500FTC price and 100FTC shipping)
silly question but I want to make sure I have done it properly.
-
The item will come to 700FTC total when purchased so all is well :)
-
Smashing thanks bushstar.
-
Nice one Bush thanks for that! When some kind of “auto relist option and pin to fiat” is up I will get all
my items listed. If you could please add a sub category under ELECTRONICS & PHOTOGRAPHY.
Something like " Components and Supplies " would be great. I want to
list loads of electronic project items, such as toggle switches, leds, wire…etc -

Here he is ;)For buyers an option to narrow the search by country, or a display filter/sort option by country.
Often it doesn’t make much sense to get goods sent from the other end of the world, and problems with local customs may occur, too.
You can search on country on the advanced search page.
https://market.feathercoin.com/adsearch.php
Currently it is labelled as “Located in”. Maybe this should simply say “Country”?
Components & Supplies now added. Food also changed to Food and Drink as we have coffee listed in there. On the auto-relist now.

Thanks for that Bush:) Just got some equipment wire up in “Components & Supplies”.
I got a bit confused on the shipping side of things.
So “Shipping Fee” refers to local shipping in the country the seller is based?
I have included UK shipping in the item price, so entered 0FTC in Shipping fee.I ticked international postage, but didnt get a box referring to that.
So I assume “Additional Shipping” can now refer to international postage,
where I entered 25FTC?Have I gone about this in the correct way to achieve what I want?
I am used to seeing shipping as something like “Local Domestic” & “International”.
Maybe this would be clearer to buyers and sellers. Anyone else out there have
any thoughts on this?Looking forward to pin to fiat, and auto-relist:P
Well done for dealing with all these requests so quickly! Thanks for your help

Okay. So we have relist enabled on the site. This gives an auction a total of 16 weeks on the site without having to press any buttons :)

The shipping fee is always added to the final sale price and the additional shipping fee is the amount charged for shipping additional items. At the moment you need to specify additional costs under shipping terms and ask the buyer to pay the extra in accordingly.
This is going to be changed and more shipping options is a request in this thread. Sellers need the ability to be able to offer several shipping options which the buyer can choose from.
I just looked at you auction. You want to put the UK shipping fee separate in shipping fee and reduce the price accordingly. Additional shipping gets added to every additional item over the first one. You can edit the auction to make these changes.
-
Hey Bush thanks for your help with that :)
I have just created a flat shipping fee of 40FTC as to include both UK and Worldwide postage.
Which I have clearly described. Setting additional postage as free, to encourage people to order more.
So I guess this will be fine for now.Going to get more items up tonight.
The longer listings are great well played.Good luck with the pin to fiat and other improvements your working on!

Thanks for the relisting options; half my stuff I listed last week I was able to re-put up but the other few things I did before those apparently are gone forever?
No big, I’ll just refill out everything again since it’ll keep this time.
