NEWBIE wanting to get good mining setup ACIS
-
So brand new to this, and want to start mining feathercoin. I really am confused as to what good hardware setup to buy. I’d like to purchase some for mining, and get involved with feathercoin. Second, anyone have good instructions on how to set up hardware, and software to start mining feathercoin. Lastly, where can you purchase feathercoin?
I’m really interested learning more about this, and willing to do the homework, just need some good direction or instructions.
PS. looking at spending under $500 bucks on mining hardware if possible.

best way to mine feathercoin is to use graphics cards. That mainly being ATI/AMD cards. The 7000 series (7950 or 7970), and the new R9 series ( 270x - 290x ). check out the chart below to see what hardware is good. for 500 dollars you can get 2x 7950 cards as long as you have a good computer to put it in. Remember with that power you will need a good powersupply and okay motherboard (like one that will support 2 cards).

Thanks for answering. I’m looking at cost per mining for Bitcoin, which seem not very profitable right now. How early in the game is feathercoin, and mining still a beginners game for this cryptocoin, or is it saturated with miners? Where do you find the going rate of the coin too?
Thanks.

That depends on what you define as a beginner. With those 2 graphics cards you can expect to mine anywhere from 40 - 60 coins a day. also if your looking to see if its cost effective check out http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency ignore all the other cryptocoins. just enter in your theoretical numbers.

Has all the answers your looking for concerning mining profitability. FTC has a 7 day average of 1,065.84% over mining Bitcoin, making it the number 2 most profitable coin to mine after Worldcoin, as of the time of this writing. It tends to vary.
If you’re just looking for quick profits in BTC, use http://hashco.ws, or if you just want to mine the most profitable coin, use multipool.in. If you want FTC, NutNut’s pool can’t be beat.
