Looking to mine - need some guidance

Hello all!
I am looking to mine, but a bit unsure where to start. I have been dabbling the last couple of days with my rockin’ Athlon x2 5200+ ::) getting about 5Kh/s. I am looking to get into the GPU game.
I did some looking, and I think I want to go with some Radeon 7950’s, but am having trouble finding any for a decent deal. I may have found a couple of Radeon 7870 MYST editions, and wasnt sure if they were any good for mining.
Anyone able to provide any guidance? Thanks in advance! :)

Hi there and welcome to the forum. It might be worth having a look at this litecoin and feathercoin are comparable for mining efficiency.

Yeah, I have been looking at the comparison chart pretty extensively, and the 7870’s dont look very impressive, but I didnt see anything in there about a MYST edition of the 7870, which from what I understand is “closer to a 7950”, I just dont know how that would translate to mining.

Are u in the UK? There is a guy on here selling 4x 7970s I think for £600 if your interested there used but working.
