Greetings From West Palm Beach

Greetings All,
These are very exciting times. I eyeballed Feathercoin on a relatively new crypto exchange called CoinMKT, it’s in Beta testing. It trades in 7 different coins including Feathercoin. I’m a newbie to all this so indulge me please. From the brief investigation I have conducted my understanding is that among other things the coin that can get transactions times down to seconds instead of 2.5 min as is the case with Litecoin, will own the future. Has Feathercoin made any advances in transaction speed times?
Also does anyone have the specs. to build a robust miner for say $1.500.00 - 2.000.00 USD range?
Also if I may as these concepts are just sinking in. I downloaded a Litecoin wallet and it seemed fine. I shutdown my iMac for the night and in the morning opened my wallet. It proceeded to reconcile 64.000.00 some odd blocks before it was sync up( it took I think about 4 hours). I purchased .01 Litecoin on ebay and it loaded into the wallet to test it and it was fine. Okay the Question ( you knew I would get there) I’m I going to need a dedicated machine to run a wallet or wallets? This is all really new to me so go easy.
Also one last thing. Is there any way to earn money by getting merchants to accept Feathercoin as payment. Can I earn Feathercoins?
Thank you all very much and I am very happy to be here.

Hello TsonicTsunami/Tom
Welcome to the community.
I am across the sandbar from you. (West Side)
I am a newbie too. Just now beginning to see the potential of Feathercoin and other crypto coins.
One, maybe two major changes/opportunities are given to a generation of people.
I happen to believe this is the one or at least the second lifetime opportunity.
No other life impacting awaking is even close to what we have before us now.
Look how long it took for BitCoin to get to mainstream. If it even is now.
I remember some saying at five dollars, get on board. Of course, I did not believe them.
Now at one thousand dollars, on the way to three thousand, then likely on to ten—you know the rest.
Can Feathercoin duplicate that history? Who knows. I believe Feathercoin is here for a people looking
for a second chance. However it turns out, I would at least like to be swimming along side the boat. Ha
Oh, add yourself to the map if you wish. I have.
