Wallet.dat file size
-
I am fairly new to the FTC, so I’m probably being paranoid.
When coins get added to my wallet, should the file size grow? My wallet is staying the same size. The modified file date changes to current, but file size stays the same.
I’ve downloaded the client a couple of times to ensure I’m using the most up-to-date client. Just would hate for something to be wrong with the wallet.
Thanks in advance!

The wallet file doesn’t grow. The transactions are stored in the blockchain, and those files do indeed grow.

Correct, the wallet is basically your username/password/auth to use the funds of the address you own:
You can see my address transcations here:

Substitute in your own address to view your transactions and block information.
Note: The above is my donations address for this forum :P -
Above and beyond. Thanks for putting my mind ease.

The wallet size will grow as you add more addresses to it, but not by adding funds, also there will be a slight decrease in size when the wallet is encrypted when comparing to an unencrypted wallet with the same amount of addresses.
