Hi I’m Rob from the UK. Have been into crypto for a while mostly LTC, started looking into a few other alts. I heard some bad things about FTC developers on various forums, but then I saw some of their video releases and press stuff and though ‘nah these guys seem ok’ anyway since they are from UK I will support my home crypto team lol. Anyways I bough some FTC about a month back on a good deal, thinking about starting to mine soon. :)
Please don’t say I have to fill in a captcha on every forum post :( I hate captchas. -
Welcome Rob.Hi
You hear these naysayers for every cryptocurrency. The first things I read from others was about how FTC was a ‘scamcoin’, a ‘pre-mine’ and a ‘pump-and-dump’ scheme and the developers were all ‘incompetent’. I’m fairly certain all of that was BS and they just pull this shit out of thin air.
BTC-ers hate LTC-ers, and they hate FTC-ers, and us FTC-ers hate no one haha.

Hi Rob,
I’m from UK, which was one of the reasons I joined Feathercoin originally as well. We have a “local feathercoin” on the tools menu, where you can add yourself to the world map, or see where everyone is from.
Lol I know man, I heard the same old stories on every coin, although I don’t even care about all that premine talk anyway, Satoshi got tons of BTC, if I made a coin I’d mine early too. Creator’s rights I guess.
I checked out a lot of coins and one thing I liked about FTC was actually that they have done the opposite of many claims against them, I felt there was big emphasis on having a persona. They had a decent website and forums and even that market thing, which is a start. It put them way ahead of all these true ‘scamcoins’, where you can just tell from looking over the website that there is no future. Even LTC doesn’t have that much of a presence in that respect… -
Hi, nice to meet you, I’ll add myself.
I think the UK will be good for feathercoin, we have a strong finance community and a strong alternative community. There has been a unique kind of anarcho-hippy libertarianish (for want of a phrase) counterculture in the UK coming up out of the squatter/green movements/rave scenes and student base for a long time, especially in the southern cities. It’s hard to put a name to that cultural aspect of Britain but i feel this kind of thing is wanted and will work here. And as a base and Launchpad for the rest of the world the UK is viable. Plus we’ve already seen the Bristol pound and etc. -
