Bitcoin Expo Feedback

Hi all,
On Saturday I went down to London to the expo, now I have been to many expos in my life but this was my first Bit one. The expo was split into two venues, first I went to 93 Feet East, where there were about 8 stalls/companies, the stage was good and the PA system was loud and clear, but the floor had no chairs and as some guest speakers spoke for an hour, it was uncomfortable to stand there shifting my weight from one leg to the other, (not that I am fat or anything, just beefy) after a while I was starting to feel seasick!! So had another drink and made my way over to the second venue, Café 1001 which I walked past the first time, where again there were about only 8 stalls; there I brought my first book signed by the author. This venue did have chairs if you wanted to listen to any of the guest speakers, but they had such a crappy PA system that you had to be in the first two rows to hear, otherwise all you heard was the various discussions happening at the stalls. To my shock and horror there was no FEATHERCOIN stall, posters, signs, nothing silt zero. Silly me I just assumed that there would be a FEATHERCOIN presence in some form or another. I was disappointed not to meet anyone from the team. I see from the Twitter photo(eating and drinking) that members were there but I don’t tweet and am not a follower!!! isn’t this one of the purposes of this forum?. If it was on the forum then I missed it and am a silly boy ( oops to late).Moans and jokes aside, Why wasn’t there a stall, is it cost?, time? transport? staff(us)? I myself don’t have a lot of FEATHERCOINS but would be willing to donate towards a MARKETING fund. We (I hope I am one after this moan) are still young and growing and if we were to package together ALL our skills that the COMMUNITY has to offer, there would be NOTHING that we couldn’t achieve and the world could be our FEATHERCOIN.
I am putting on my helmet and hopefully you all will throw me back some replies/comments/jokes/moans or corrections.XXXXXXXX

Hey, We were there, we handed out badges and cards, there were at least 4 Feathercoin team members there including Peter our lead dev, I’m really sorry you didn’t get to meet any of us there.
The Expo wasn’t well organised and Chris had been there since 9am waiting to go on and speak about Feathercoin, but they kept changing his time and venue, eventually he was able to go on at about 6pm at the second venue which 93 Feet East.
We met a lot of people there and only wish we could have met everyone :/
We talked about having a stall but decided we’d be better of in the crowd mingling - which I can see now wasn’t perhaps the right choice :/
New Team players are always welcome, so please don’t go away and hide as community input is always welcome here, please join our meet up page on meet.com/feathercoin, PM me anytime with anything :) and please join this post http://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php/topic,5200.msg38561.html#msg38561 :)

Everyone who joins now is still a bleeding edge adopter.
This gives you opportunities you will never see again. You could run your own Feathercoin meet! You could stand and give your own presentation at a conference, like Chris did in Amsterdam. You could develop SMS currency exchange like Mark or you could help with graphic designs or new video’s. You may just exchange a few coins to help widen the network, or help on the forum supporting new users.
The forum is here to develop the software, network and community. I am dumbstruck at the amount of background work that has already been done, to forward the open currency project. There are still many Github projects that could “easily” be ported over to Feathercoin, merchant apps, mobile wallets, listen to Feathercoin, exchanges, statistics, block explorers and ledger analysis / information.
Any contributions you make at this stage are still pivotal in getting crypto currency adopted. We certainly need more meets at the moment.

Hey I am really sorry we missed each other. I am happy to meet you anytime for a chat though, I am always pleased to meet people to talk about Feathercoin.
The whole expo was a bit of a chaotic mess. I think the organisers did work very hard and I am glad they got such impressive lineup of speakers but the whole thing was arranged appallingly and my day was just a nightmare.
We didn’t get a stall because we felt it was inappropriate. We are not a corporate entity with a revenue model trying to sell a product/service to a customer base. We’re an open source project here to serve a community and protect a blockchain.
If you want to meetup sometime drop me a PM, I’ll buy you a drink and we can chat Feathercoin 8)
