Googlemaster - Making a partial jump from LTC to FTC
-
Hey guys, so I’ve been mining LTC for a few weeks now and have gotten turned on by the idea of Feathercoins. I like the idea on how lightweight they are in terms of making micro p2p transactions. For instance, if I wanted to buy something online from another coin-taker and we met up somewhere in person, we wouldn’t have to wait so long for the transaction to process.
This to me gives feathercoin a lot more viability in real world transactions. I was thinking about this the other night when I left Fry’s (a major electronics retailer), you know, its one of those ones that checks your receipt as you walk out, and I thought to myself, holy crap, this is perfect for this future I had envisioned:
- You pay for electronic good in major electronic appliance store with FTC
- Checkout prints your transaction ID QR on your receipt
- Exit-staff use handheld device/smartphone to verify complete transaction
- BOOM you are out the door.
I see this currency to have more wide uses as compared to Litecoin, so I really want to focus much more of my mining efforts on FTC, though I think it is easier for me to get FTC with current difficulty by way of trading for it with LTC to BTC on the exchange (I’m talking just purely in terms of mh/s), though I will for sure convert one of my miners to FTC full time.
So I want to say hello, I am on board, and if there are any community efforts that need marketing or work to be done for the cause, let me know how I can help, thanks!
Edit: Also, I pinned myself as to having a Seattle,WA,USA location, heyo, shoutouts to any of you PNW’s if you exist!

googlemaster, you are completely correct, and all the infrastructure is there ready to go, QR codes and all, even for early adopters. Have you ever known that happen before?
Crypto currency is the most amazing thing I have ever seen, hold on tight for the ride …
