I still think its a temporary situtaion generated by everybody jumping on Worldcoin. In a couple of days it will either be added on an exchange, where people will dump and price plummet or it won’t in which case price will go down too. Eitherway a lot od hashes will go back to doing other struff; mostly LTC. A few will be back to FTC especially for those owners who have decent stock of FTC.
For miners its difficult to resist making easy money by mining WDC instead of FTC.

I respect your dedication but i don’t understand why you are not looking at some obvious problems. You’ll have to convince current miners to _stay_ and mine FTC for a few more days (a constantly growing number of days by the way). The network is currently 179,993 KHash/s and slowing, the time to retarget is growing again despite the corrections to the calculation. Estimate was 7 days 10 hours yesterday, it’s 7 days 5 hours now, which is obviously a bad sign. The original 22nd of May retarget plan is nowhere. My client has been out of sync for hours now, I am not sure i could even send a transaction.

Starting from the fork and v0.6.4 the max diff adjust is 41.4%. You do the math ;D :P -

188 -> 110, then probably will go down to 64 which will be hopefully faster, then later depending on the network it can go even lower. I think it will be big enough jump and from now difficulty will adjust in several smaller steps not big jumps - which caused the current situation. -

Well, Bushy’s bounty has really got things moving, the blocks are coming much quicker now. It was definitely the right decision to fork at 33k, we now have some seriously good publicity building up even before the fork.

Why are you adjusting the difficulty faster than LTC? Aren’t there 4x as many possible FTC as LTC? The difficulty should increase slower not faster. You will just bottleneck the system again. Difficulty will rise faster than coin usefulness and miners will jump ship.
The reason for these issues with TRC and FTC is that unlike BTC and lesser extent LTC, the mining power and potential miners is already there and competing coins are already in place. With BTC the miners and hashing power grew somewhat steadily over time from only a few people. I think something fundamentally different needs to be done with the way additional altcoins are mined for them to be successful. They need to use completely different tech - not cpus or gpus - or at least make them use cpus/gpus substantially different so that you can’t just toss your hardware over to a pool or solo operation. The mining of additional altcoins requires additional investment in new types of mining “tools” to maintain market equilibrium.
Edit: I guess I stated that incorrectly regarding the difficulty increase - I am talking about something different than what you are.
