so checked the prices for r9 280x on new egg they have gone up to $369 and 7950s running $400. $492 on best buy for a r9 280x. Almost worth using 7850s and r9 270s. 4 7850s where clos in price to the 2 r9 280x around the same Kh/s and less watts. here is some math

      4 7850s 1400 kh/s $676 power 460w
      2 r9 280x 1440 kh/s $738 power 600W
      4 r9 270 1700 kh/s $ 720 power 600w

these are rough estimates based on newegg prices. without tweaking for power consumption

only thing i noticed is the r9 270 says it does 150W but it only has one pcie 6 pin. so its getting 75w from the power supply and the rest from the motherboard? wouldn’t you run into problems with 4 cards on a motherboard? 4 powered riser would have to be used correct?

I think it is better to use two power sources, one for the motherboard 600W and 1000W for the remaining 3 cards… ::)

If you try checking your local Microcenter or electronics store they typically have them in stock for up to $50 cheaper including shipping. I’m going to be going to mine this weekend to check if they have any gigabyte 7950’s.

In that case I would suggest getting a family member or friend that does have a electronics store that sells computer parts to purchase what you need and then ship it to you. Of course i’m sure there is someone on one of the cryto forums willing to do it for you. Careful of who you trust though.

I live in Argentina, there is not much availability of new graphics cards,
                      but the R9 Msi 270x (not much availability)costs about U$ 270. and U$ 240 XFX R9 270X.(availability).

                      Ati Radeon Sapphire R9 280x Vapor-x U$ 500 :-\ (availability).
                      AND Sapphire Radeon R9 290x 4gb U$ 700 :-[ (availability).

yea that’s pretty high. your best bet would probably be some online retailer that isn’t price gouging and ships to Argentina
