The bounty has been spread over several block to offer a more immediate reward for miners. The first bounty is on block 32,880 which is only 7 block away. Hopefully this will make it more interesting for those participating.

Will it be possible to award it to pool instead of miners? Or break up the reward into pool and miners? You may be able to catch a lot of smaller miners with that.
Makes the scheme even more complicated though.

Just thrown another 1800khs on to the FTC fire. 600 more coming tomorrow.
I really do like the community spirit here and I have been sporadically pointing my miners at FTC to help the push to 33k but I’ll leave them there full time now.

[/quote]That’s a good idea… maybe the extra 5BTC that justabitoftime threw in can go towards that for the 33k block. The only thing though is that if this was to happen, I would think that most small miners would find the biggest pool and join that, not only possibly making the pool 50% but also diminishing the worth of the reward.

Awesome idea! I spread the word through the trollbox a few times to hopefully grab some more attention to this. I got all my miners going at wemineftc’s pool.

Looks like the trollbox worked a bit. FTC price is moving in a positive direction! Hopefully we can get the global hashrate up from this.

I thought I posted here but i must have not hit submit and got distracted :) We will coordinate with Bushstar if one of our members finds any of the blocks and will pass their BTC address to bushstar and the finder will receive 100% of the bounty, the pool will not take any. We want to see FTC succeed!

I think the reward system is working, FTC prices sky rocketing from 0.001 to 0.00132 haha hopefully it won’t come crashing down 8)
