The difficulty will adjust so that there will be found 1 block (200ftc) every 2.5 minutes.

Now you can calculate ;)

Accordingly, 576 blocks/day = 115200 FTC/day as long as the mining continues. Hence as of Jan 2018, number of FTCs will be (approx. 168.192.000 + number of FTCs now (26.782.800)). Totally=194.974.800.

Note: FTC mining generates 27158 $/day as 19.12.2013 @ BTC-E rate.

I think the further and more important ;) question is: What’s your guess of the price per FTC as Jan 2014, June 2014, 2015, etc…?

Just a little mistake in your calculation.

Block reward halves every 840,000 blocks (taken from the ‘about’ page in the forum)
That is also the reason, that the total number of feathercoins mined ever is limited.

Let’s hope to see something realistic like: Jan 14: $0.55
June 14: $1.67
Jan 15: $3.20

I am probably way off the mark but hey that’s my guess. Even though 2014 is going to be a huge year for Bitcoin and in turn the alternative, alternative coins! With Feathercoin becoming prevalent who knows what the price will be in jan15 or whenever. I will be watching this space though for sure.

I hate speculating… did it for a few weeks then got over it, but if i was to guess, we’ve all ready seen a dollar a ftc…

Jan 14: $0.90
June 14: $3.00
Jan 15: $10.00

One day I’ll look back on this post and see how very wrong I was.

According to what Wellenreiter has written, it will be halved 4 years later.

As we are at block 134057 currently, I calculated that we will reach block 840000 in about 3 years and 4 month from today :)

German precision :) Thanks.

Equivalently 4 years-(FTC start date) ~ 3.25 years
