Hello from Canada

SHA and Scrypt are 2 different creatures. If you pull 100ghash/s in sha, you will pull 100khash/s in scrypt.
Anyways, welcome aboard!
-
Thanks for the welcome.
Also thanks for the clarification, I’m aware of the differences, just thought I would mention it for some reason or another. I’m mining BTC as well with some ASIC hardware, but am really intrigued by scrypt.
-
Ah very nice.
I like the idea of scrypt because of the lack of asics for them currently… That’s soon going to change though.
I’m sure in time, there will be other algo’s been used to keep things fresh. I think Betacoin uses something other than scrypt or sha.

Yea I heard that, havent had a chance to look into it. I was pretty interested in QRKs hybrid attempt which was a neat concept. There are some 10MHash units i seen that were going up for pre-order already. Wasn’t able to find a price though, and was a little too lazy to mail at the time lol.

These aren’t the ones your talking about are they?
-
Nah, these ones: http://www.cryptoindustries.com/?product=horus-10mh
FPGA miners. -
Ahh those ones… Have they started pre-orders yet? It doesn’t look like it.
-
Ah, you’re right. For some reason i though they were doing pre-orders… :(
