That would be great, a US based exchange and being able to buy direct. Sounds like more good news for feathercoin.

I will be checking their site frequently this week and update here as soon as FTC is a visible to purchase.

            Hi All,

I’ve been mining for a short while but got into FTC first by buying a BTC through an exchange before it had it’s crazy spike and traded it for all FTC through BTCE. I should say I bought through coin.mx and then traded through btce.
I got a message from coin.mx last week stating they are now selling LTC direct with no need to buy BTC first then trade.
So, on 12/19 I emailed them asking when FTC would be available to buy direct as well. They replied stating: “We should have mostly all coins by the middle of next week.”!
I am in no way affiliated with them, I am just excited to see a US based exchange state they will be offering FTC to USD direct.
[/quote] This would be so good. +1rep

CoinMKT.com out of Santa Monica, CA. has been trading FTC for a couple months.

The trouble is they have had some technical issues including not enough decimal points so no volume.

The FTC/BTC on coinmkt is very low volume. However with FTC/USD there are thousands of FTC being traded.

Maybe you should also ask them to bump FTC up the ranking. I personally think FTC is being shafted by BTC-e in favour of KGB coin RUR.

Needs FTC/USD on BTC-e, if its against BTC price will never go up…

CoinMKT still doesn’t have an easy way to get USD into their platform for purchase of FTC directly. Instead you have to send a paper money order to them. They can take BTC then trade; however, seems like that is easier to do on other sites. Coinbase seems to have the USD down via ACH at least - and after ~30 days you can have quite a bit of instant credit from them.

Signed up for coinmx and started going through the processes. They are selling bitcoins significantly higher then the exchanges and they blew up my phone with text messages till I deleted my account and turned off everything. Just my experience but I have been far happier with coinbase.com and the rates are perfectly inline with what I see on the exchanges and updated every couple secs. The spread is less then 1% between bid and ask and they don’t blow up your phone. I am transferring USD to the account now to test buying BTC, but so far pretty happy with them for a US based means of trading worthless USD for BTC.

Fun fact: the USD has declined in purchasing power by 95% since 1913, it now takes over 27USD to buy what 1USD did back then. . . before the Federal Reserve Bank (the authorized counterfeiter) was created. The drop accelerates after Nixon ended the Brenton Woods Agreement in Aug 1971 officially taking us off the gold standard. This can’t happen with feathercoin!

I’ll 2nd that, looked at many other services too and I’m most happy with Coinbase now. It is taking a while to get a lot of instant BTC buying power, 30 days it seems, but works great otherwise, professional site, good service, etc.

Is it possible that FTC in the long run will be worth more then one BTC/LTC/USD?
