Scrypt Cloud Has Been LAUNCHED!!!!
-
I said this back at the start, he could think about still splitting his mining operation between 2 sites.
Presumably he has ‘some’ space at home to house a few of these. Even if its not half of the capacity, it will get some of the contracts up and running.
In my view doing something is better than doing nothing. It will prove his concept and put some minds at rest.
The problem with power and cooling is then 2 smaller, individually more manageable problems. Plus I bet he has a stable connection at home.
Powerline adapters could work if he uses some kind of VPN over the link? Mining doesn’t need a lot of bandwidth, it just needs to be consistent.

*Regarding WIFI, have you considered Lan over Power solution? i use this in my rig room without any issues. this however needs to be tested in regards to the hotspot and the outlet being on the same power grid or close enough.
*Have you checked what kind of power you have at your dispersal in that storage facility?, you would need alot to power those rigs. I use about 40 Amp for my 23Cards…
Lan over Power… Not sure. the location wasn’t secure I think? So any network over power would go over the neighbours line as well?! Wifi was a bad choice anyway, especially for projects like this. Cabled network is much much more reliable and much much more secure.
An yes, out of all of the reasons why this project could fail, my number 1 reason was: total power usage.
Most of those power over pan equipments have built in encryption for secure point to point communication if one wants to use em.
However i do not see the necessity for securing it anyways, they are just supposed to be stupid mining rigs, not a place to store “valuable” wallets etc on :D -
Most will encrypt the traffic between each poweline ethernet adapter. Some say that you don’t want to draw too much power from the same lines that the network runs on, however, I have 5 GPUs running on the same circuit no problems. My home setup goes as follows, In through my own cable modem, to my wireless AC router, out to a poweline adapter in the living room, back in to a powerline adapter in my computer room, into a 10 port switch and out to my mining rigs. All of my 7970/R9 280xs run at about 0.13% reject rate on average and I don’t have any lag while gaming over powerline… I really like it. If i need to transfer bigger files between machines I hop on my wireless as that can pull 1.7 gig and my powerline is only a 200 meg kit.
If I were to convert a house to a mining operation I would do it just like my current home network except get newer powerline adapters with more than 1 Ethernet jack (no switches needed). Have a good router connected to your modem and then send out the signal to a good powerline adapter and then have matching adapters in each room for a hardwired connection. Boom now you have multiple Ethernet jacks in each room!!!

the last i heard he was planning to run this from storage containers/units. not sure powerlines would even be an option there

Whats this Hashingnow.com project now I hope you are not giving up on ScryptCloud just like that man we were just talking
on the Skype the other day.Don’t Give up because you made a mistake ask for help here in this great community and I am sure there are many
people here who can provide all the support you need to get this project rolling in the next few weeks at the latest. -
just wondering what this is,
http://www.scryptcloud.com/
You can purchase scrypt cloud mining contracts here: www.hashingnow.combecause i am a bit confuse now i thought you had problem with script cloud and you could not deliver and now this…please explain is this a new project or what
thank you -
hashingnow.com is my project - i discussed it with him when i bought my mh. The site is not even ready yet (hence its behind a password). also its bitcoin mining contracts only at the moment. Will not be opening the doors on it till our machines actually arrive as we want peoples contracts to mine instantly, we will not be offering any pre-order products. waiting for delivery of 24 th of power to get us started
It was supposed to be a secret for the time being - well i guess the cats out the bag now. We will be accepting payment for these contracts in all forms of digital currencies though.
Maybe in the future if our orders from Alpha technology (150 mh) arrive we might offer scrypt contracts
like i said its supposed to be a secret, we are not ready yet :(
-
Well, I’m not surprised. It also fully explains your offer to take over what FTClover has got. Even at a marginal profit level it would give you a head start. Good for building up a clientele and good for getting routine and momentum all the way up to the arrival of the Vipers.
-
Sorry Mr. Hamilton, I did not realise it was a secret, I also thought you were offering scrypt contracts, and I believe I owe you an apology and a few personal emails! I will speak with you shortly :)

UPDATE-
I think we have a solution to all of the problems! We have been working hard trying to get things working and we have 5 out of 13 correct cpu’s, we just need another 300 euro to get the rest, we have reserved them with computer parts Ireland so I’m going to try get a loan from a friend to cover it! We are very sorry for the delay and none communication, so happy to see the community at its best! and as for the website, I think we will rebuild it better than before! I’m also thinking of changing it scryptcloud.ie and registering as a limited company :)
Anyway if anyone would like to help by making a donation it would be highly appreciated! I will update tomorrow on progress :)

As said before, PM me your scope details and lets talk! CPU’s shouldn’t be a problem 8)
I appreciate your reaching out but I don’t know all that much about computers and mining, I know the basics but its been my brother who has been working his butt off behind the scenes, he is a game designer and knows a hell of alot more about this stuff than I, but as far as I know he has fixed the internet problem some how and he found a place to get the cpu’s.
I am just the business, web designer and man power side of things, I do all the heavy lifting and basically I am the project manager and customer support. He is the technical side of the business, but I’m sure he could speak with you on skype if he has a free minute! I’ll PM you and let you know :)

I think to restore confidence in the project you need to post some pictures of your purchased equipment as well as a lot more information on exactly whats gone wrong and what steps you have taken to fix things?
A Receipt for your purchased equipment would also be quite nice to see. Restore peoples confidence and i am sure everyone will still back the project. I am more then willing to travel to Lusk and see the operation and report back to the community as well as give you any help needed.
as i only paid you a few days ago for batch 2 contracts and you are having problems with batch one, i personally would like a full refund sent to my address below. I will re-order when my confidence is restored. This should not be a problem as my BTC should not have been spent on anything.
Please send my 3.6 BTC to 16548jTK7HWJ1sfD3Y4CmaSyWvymrnLR6r
Posting the pictures, receipts and sending a refund will surely be a great start in restoring peoples confidence. Also a personal touch wouldn’t go astray by sending all your contract holders an email explaining the situation in more detail
just my 2 cents
That is AWESOME news!!!
And yes, I agree, the community has been awesome about this all. When I called for a lack of pitchforks and torches, I honestly expected someone to break rank and start throwing wild accusations. Didn’t happen. Instead everyone remained calm and discussed the matter rationally, and we all banded together to offer you as much support as we possibly could. And here we are, being rewarded for our calmness. Ain’t life grand?
My hat goes off to all of you, especially you FTClover, for keeping the dream alive. I’m sure some people will be spooked by this recent turn of events, and that’s ok… they have a reason to be upset. That’ll fade in time as the good karma continues to flow. Keep truckin’ guys!

Collected a lot of crypto from potential clients and now whining about 300 euro for some CPU’s… get real… -

If it looks like shit, tastes like shit and smell like shit. Well than that`s probably what it is. Sorry all but this looks a lot like lost money.
Lets give Shane some more hours to respond and put everyone’s mind at rest.
I do agree that by the end of play today we should all have concrete information on the project as well as rock solid evidence of hardware, should the project continue…
I’m not going to play games with this project anymore, i expect my refund of 3.6 BTC no later then the end of play today. Once again Shane - please send my BTC to the address below:
16548jTK7HWJ1sfD3Y4CmaSyWvymrnLR6r
I am still prepared to help in this project in anyway i can - whether its help with hardware, a location for the rigs, buying your equipment and honoring everyone’s contracts or assistance in recovering monies owed to members of this community.
I am just starting to get sick of all the stalling and want some straight talking from the man himself…
