      Good morning !

I just got a fourth card for my rig and a bunch of powered risers to not fry anything.

But in order to keep all the cards running at good temperatures, I would need one or two long risers.

Knowing that I have already unpowered risers (and that I’m tired of waiting weeks for my orders to arrive), can I plug 2 risers in each other in order to have a long one ?

      I mean, I don’t see why I couldn’t, but I don’t want to mess up so I ask !

      Thanks for your help !

Should be no problem to cascade two risers, as long as you power only one of the two

          Great !

I was actually planning on doing that on the non powered riser (1 card is gonna stay with unpowered riser).

          So no problem.

As soon as I receive the risers, I’ll try and keep you guys informed of the results.

If anybody wants to confirm again that it works, don’t hesitate ;)

                        hahahah good thread

if you start to run into problems with risers you may want to consider getting an EVGA power boost, its a molex connector for ALL your pci-e lanes. This will add more voltage across your lanes and help out with unpowered risers as well as keep you from melting your 24 pin connector to the mobo.
