Report Abuses
-
As a community, we’re always looking for productive and mutually beneficial ways to bring FTC into the mainstream. In general, I feel we have one of the more positive and productive communities in this space. With that being said, there’s no reason for us to deal with any type of abuse. I’ve read (and dealt with) certain mods on sites such as BTC-e that consider FTC a ‘scam coin’. Now, this is interesting considering their company feels differently and actually supports the crypto currency. They are essentially insulting their customers and this can not stand.
Personally, I’ll report any moderation abuses I notice in the future. I’m done. Maybe BTC-e runs their business differently from the rest of the successful businesses I’ve had a chance to work with… but in the real world, we don’t allow people that represent us to insult our clients… period.

I agree. I was thinking about getting an account with them, but not now… If you are going to be in the business you should keep those type of opinions to yourself…

I’ve already despaired of the troll box ages ago.

While not a huge fan of the site, I’m done with the obvious bias of some of the volunteer moderators. If we’re not treated with respect, maybe the owners will see some of the moderators usefulness in a different light. This is normal protocol in the business world, crypto shouldn’t be any different.

I know the wielder of the ban-hammer of which you speak. The guy is an arse and put simply should have his privileges removed. People see him/them as the voice of BTC-e and as such, an authority on coins. When they cry “Scam coin” or “X-coin is dead” people follow.
Agreed, it’s strictly business.
1. I pay quite a bit in transaction fees with my daily transactions on that site. I’m a customer first and foremost.
2. We all work so hard on Feathercoin, I’m not letting a few volunteers mess with our outcomesAs we know, this has been going on for awhile now. I emailed the the admin, I wanted to know if their business model centered around volunteers making customers feel unwanted and to malign products they offer.
We’ll see.

He apologized and stopped. He said he understands why we had issues, but he didn’t feel he was doing anything wrong and claims he only owns LTC. He’s been pretty quiet since. I think it was a shock to his system when half the chat jumped on him at once.
