They probably don’t even know how to use them and will accidentally delete all their .dat files and blame everyone else for losing their 25m which was 3m when they claimed them.

[/quote]Well, it may make our value against BTC go up, but if BTC->fiat lowers it ultimately takes us down with it when then comparing FTC->fiat.

All crypto is still very much connected.

They won’t sell them on an exchange they will probably auctioned them off, maybe sell them to one of the dark pools.

Dumping them on an exchange will backfire badly and it will just make more rich geeks. They’re not stupid.

Yeah indeed, just as they sell other confiscated items on a auction.
At least in the Netherlands there is something like this.

Wall street it is? They announced to get involved a few months onto 2014, didn’t they?

Yep. This idea that this will devalue the market is by no means a foregone conclusion.

Here’s a possibility: They put them up for auction. Because they’re ‘special’, investors pay more for them for their specialness, making them the first ‘real colored coins’ which have value beyond their listed exchange prices.

If this happened, it’s possible this sale could drive the price way up.

The US Government is so freaking corrupt, I can hardly even stomach reading this stuff.

The qoute: “With today’s forfeiture of $28 million worth of bitcoins from the Silk Road website, a global cyber business designed to broker criminal transactions, we continue our efforts to take the profit out of crime and signal to those who would turn to the dark web for illicit activity that they have chosen the wrong path. . . .”

This government traffics in just about every kind of illegal activity known to mankind, occupies 137 countries, counterfeits the international reserve currency by the trillions, answers to no one, bails out all of their partners in crime with money stolen from hard working honest people, and wants to keep us from the dark web??? I am born and raised american and so ashamed of my leaders I can not even begin to express it.

It is more likely they will funnel the BTC through a false auction to some black ops organization to promote more war, killing and starvation and exploitation of children then that they will legitimately sell it on any exchange. The reign of these psychopaths needs to end already!

                                    peace,

I’d love to have some Silk Road Bitcoins, I would feel like I was owning history. Shame I can have it on a paper wallet so I can point to the coin age when people come round.
