I have been trying to get Feathercoin Wallet to sync on my Macbook Pro with MAC OS 10.9.1 for over two weeks now and it doesn’t seem to be syncing. Is anyone else having the same problem?

        Hi mate,

I did seem to have this issue when i first installed the App. After downloading feathercoin-QT i dragged it into applications folder as you would and ran it from there to find out it never synced correctly, So what i did which worked for me and still works now. I redownloaded the application, Unpacked so it was sitting in my downloads folder, ran it from there which i got prompted do you allow an downloaded application to run which of course i pressed yes. I could see it was then working through the dates after a little time my wallet was fully synced. I closed down the application then dragged into applications folder and ran from the new location and it worked fine since. Been fully synced now for a week.

Not really a solution but this seemed to work for me :)

Thanks guys! I got it working. I had to go to the folder “Library” > “Application Support” and delete the Feathercoin folder, then downloaded the Feathercoin wallet again and it worked perfectly. Now it is syncing. ;D

I am supporting Feathercoin 100% as I believe it will be the future of crypto currency!

Unfortunately, no such luck for me… Tried both “tricks” and it still stands as out of sync (running on Mavericks 10.9.1)

Tried it from the Applications folder, then I ran into this thread. Removed it. Tried from the Downloads folder to no avail. Tried going into the Application Support and found no such folder (Feathercoin) there.

Am I missing something or is there another way to go about this?

Are you not getting any connection at all? What do you see on the bottom right of your Feathercoin wallet? Did you try ruling out your router by trying a windows pc?

                  First thing,

Are you behind a proxy E.G are you tryin to run feathercoin QT at work or something where it could be banned?

                  Second Thing

Security and Privacy, General Tab, at the bottom do you have allow downloaded apps from anywhere to run?

                  Third Thing

When you go to /Users/Your User Name Here/Library/Application Support/ You should see a folder called feathercoin where your wallet etc is kept. If you dont have this i cant imagine your application as the right to create the folder which i would go back to thing i mentioned above.

                  Keep us informed?
