I will be attending Coinfest 2014. Are there any Feathercoiners from Vancouver on here who will be attending, if so I would love to meet some of you guys. A few of my friends will be showing of their custom built mining rigs and are giving away a custom frame. If any of you are going to this event please let me know, maybe we can organize something for FTC.

Here is the link to the meetup—> http://www.meetup.com/bitcoinvan/events/150664252/

Well actually Coinfest is quite big. Like really big, really really big. There is at least 8 other groups that have meetups for coin fest.

There are a few more but I don’t have their links handy. In Vancouver we do everything big because we are bored and its always raining and cold.

              Hey guys

So Andrew wagner the organizer of Coinfest 2014 got in touch with me today and he wants Feathercoin to setup a booth. The charge for setting up a booth is 50 dollars worth in coins of our choice. I am thinking that this is a great opportunity for Feathercoin to be noticed. I spoke to Kevlar and he has suggested that we hand out paper wallets loaded with 1 or so FTC on them. I am turning to you the community for help. If you all think that this is something worth looking into and something worth organizing for then I have compiled a list of things that need to be done

              Game plan

              1. Setup a donation so we can cover the cost of the venue which is 50 dollars worth in coins of our choice (BTC preferred)

              2. Setup a donation so we can create some paper wallets and load them with FTC and distribute them among venue attendees

              3. Organize some sort of talk on FTC that covers the basic idea of Feathercoin and our philosophy regarding Crypto currencies

              4. Need the help of any Feather coiners from Vancouver, BC, Canada to join in with me and share their knowledge of FTC with venue attendees.

              5. Maybe organize a draw for 20 to 30 FTC just cause winning prizes are fun

              6. They have good wifi there so I may be able to setup a streaming video connection for anyone interested in watching the event live.

That being said the event is on the 15th of February which is a Saturday, We don’t have much time for preparations but I am ready to commit myself to this if there are people who are willing to both join me at the event and lend a helping hand.

Anyone interested can also contact me on skype @ featherreddit@outlook.com

Also this is a screen cap of the message Mr Wagner sent me http://i.imgur.com/SdYXuWn.png
