[/quote]Sounds right to me, a backup of the private key hidden away, the tab can be pulled off to reveal it (once, as it tears the plastic from what I gather)

That is correct when you pull it up the plastic will tear in a square, if you hold the coin in the light you can see the outline where it will rip, the address QR code sits directly on top of it. :) -
So when does mass production start? I’m thinking we need a few hundred thousand of these being left all over the world for people to ‘find’ - would make a great viral campaign lol.
Idea #2: Hide a big one and do a treasure hunt ;D

we are having a second laser cutter identical to the one I already use, installed tomorrow so production will be much quicker. I will still be producing limited designs ;)definately like the treasure hunt idea. :)
I am also thinking of running a competition for any budding artist of the community to submit designs, for a run of coins, winner voted by the community and winner gets edition 1 of that run, but I have not worked out the details yet :)

What if right… And I’m just thinking out loud here… A few members scattered around the world, all bought a limited edition treasure hunt coin and hid it somewhere in their respective local city. Then co-ordinated a global treasure hunt using clue’s and cryptic messages?
Not sure exactly how it would play out, but it could make for some newsworthy articles…
