CS have you upgraded to the latest version of the client yet? if so how did you do it as I’ve checked the CPBP and it’s outta date

The guide i used was https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=182027.0
What I did was change in the guide where it says
git clone https://github.com/FeatherCoin/FeatherCoin
to
git clone https://github.com/FeatherCoin/Feathercoin-0.8.5
everything else is the same.

Now I get a "HTTP request failed!!

Thats odd, just tested it on an ubuntu box

LOL, i’m just doing the same… or at least trying to I’m seriously low on resource here as I need to have a VM tidy up on my host, but that means I need to blow away a SAN, and I’m really not ready to do that in a hurry :-[
I’m trying to do the update on the prod server, without a complete rebuild but it’s not happening. I’ll keep plugging away at it unless you fancy giving me a hand via Skype?

I had problems with errors during compilation, needed to create a temporary swap file as the box I installed on didnt have enough ram.
But if your getting http request fails at the git clone stage it sounds like there is something a little more fundamentally wrong somewhere - im in and out this evening or I would try and help a bit more :-\

I will never admit why this hasn’t been working, but suffice to say the problem is now resoled!
