[Dev] Merchant support discusion - PoS, CoinOS
-
https://github.com/thebitcoincoop/pos.bitcoincoop.org (the most popular version)
https://github.com/stretch/vanbtc.ca (this seems to be the original one and Coinos was forked from this. I have not heard much about this version nor do I know anyone using this version)
This is the source code for Coinos. I understand some of the words. Rest is beyond my technical abilities

This is a good idea, if you start a [Dev] in technical developments, I’ll pin it.
-
Tell me if you need a Windows developer… I’ve been on the Windows Phone and Windows 8 platform since its release :)
It’s a web application targeting NodeJS with Coffeescript as the language.
Having said that, please don’t let a lack of experience stop you from getting involved. NodeJS is an AWESOME platform to code in, and I really can’t say enough good things about Coffeescript as a language… and it’ll all be viewable on your Windows Phone.

;D Node.js is not a problem for me!
It made up 40% of my backend server needs, with Windows Azure. The problem will be the front end development, like UI. but still, its worth taking a look!
-
bump* is there any way of getting this thread moved to the Tech Dev forum…? I’ll see if I can do it.
-
It seems there is some interest on this. Anyone wanna setup a small team that can collaborate and work on this.
-
Bumping for more interest on this. Anyone with any skills in coding is welcome to come forward. We need more developers in here.
-
bumping… anything ever come of this discussion?
-
Its an ongoing technical discussion. There’s a lot on with other projects, but merchant adoption is an interesting and important project.
This topic has been moved and pinned in Technical development.

CoinOS is a mobile-friendly Point-of-Sale , I think that is a good application, This is a worthwhile thing to do. I think we need to upgrade the block chain, Let FTC support transaction leave a message.
-
I would like something to happen with CoinOS. I have the guys on Skype and will talk to this over the next few days.
-
Let’s begin the work.
-
I’ve put an AP up on the trello board for this. We should definitely try to put together a team to work on this!
