KnC Preloaded Bitcoin Wallet

Thanks. Downloaded. That’s a smart feature, being able to send to mobile phone numbers even if you don’t know their address.
-
Yeah except so far I have the app and so does a friend at work and I was expecting him to automatically be added to my address book inside the app like WhatsApp does but no dice.
-
Whatsapp does that very well.
-
Woo! I’m 0.0085 richer! Thanks.
-
ah well its better than nothing. and its actually quite a good app.
Those names and addresses of people in my contact list appeared after an app restart very handy :-)
-
Actually it does. One of my mates I gave a head up, just popped up in my wallet addressbook once he installed the app. W00p!
-
Cool, I thought I was too late but got 0.0017 BTC into my wallet.
Very clever app.

:)
well I was on playstore and ready to download, but if I started to register I noticed, that they want to upload your contact list, so for me it’s just a data gathering exercise. :(
I decided the $1 equivalent of Bitcoins isn’t worth it.

“so for me it’s just a data gathering exercise”, but surely this is within the app, they are not saving your contacts and BTC address to a server somewhere?
-
Well that’s a good question they must be saving your phone number and BTC address but I’m not sure if they are saving your contacts the app seems to check if each of your contacts is registered and if so add them to the address page inside the app. Hopefully its just checking and not saving :-/
