Newsweek said Thursday it had found the enigmatic creator of the online currency bitcoin, a reclusive Japanese-American physicist and model train fan whose name is actually Satoshi Nakamoto.

It actually said ‘they found somebody they think is the bitcoin creator’. They cannot prove it is him. Bearing in mind there are many Satoshi Nakomoto in this world - what they did posting all about this guy and showing his house, his image, and where he lives (not to mention the fact they say he has $400 million in BTC) is deplorable. I would urge you not to spread this link for the sake of an innocent guys privacy, and his life being put at risk as a result of an idiotic reporter

I am sure Satoshi Nakamoto would not have been his/theirs name. Someone trying so hard to remain anonymous would hardly use the real name.

I feel NSA insiders created it after being unhappy for some reason. For obvious reasons they have to remain anonymous.

To the press the identity of Satoshi is the only thing that matters. They could be correct?

I’d say Satoshi is probably dead, a freak accident or something back in 2010 and all his secrets have been taken to the grave.

it’s way to easy, he’s 100% surely not that very same satoshi. As Magic8Ball pointed out, why would a person that’s so rigorous with security and privacy use his/her real name, that’s just a completely retarded theory that a five year old can realize how stupid it is :P

My bet…Satoshi doesn’t exist and have never existed. I’m convinced the currency was created by a group of individuals, some of who might still be developing it, and they just use the legend of Satoshi to enhance the whole concept of privacy by feeding the myth :P

Ridiculous. This is all impossible because I’m Satoshi Nakamoto.

I’d say Satoshi is probably dead, a freak accident or something back in 2010 and all his secrets have been taken to the grave.

                      Seriously, though, that said:

He did re-emerge to make that statement.

Makes me worry now if it was a, like, fishing expedition. Smoke him out.

The primary author of the celebrated Bitcoin paper, and therefore probable creator of Bitcoin, is most likely Nick Szabo, a blogger and former George Washington University law professor, according to students and researchers at Aston University’s Centre for Forensic Linguistics (UK).
