I saw the CoinDesk article today where Charles Lee offered to do the work to get Dogecoin merged mined with Litecoin. This is a quick way to marginalize Doge, turn them into a by-product and suppress their price all in one go.

We know that Litecoin mine us to suppress our price, he admitted to it in an attack on me and Feathercoin. Merge mining would allow all Litecoin miners to do this to Doge with no extra effort. I have tried to warn Dogecoin of this in the post below.

I do not see other coins as competition as we should all be working to make crypto better. We are in ope n source development and should not be making plans to destroy others.

I saw they rejected the offer which is good news for dogecoin users but I don’t think this is the end of litecoin looking to consume other coins via merged mining.

          The One Troo Cult.

This is why I’m with catcoin and feathercoin.

I hope to see ftc displace ltc and cat displace btc.

I am taking a massive beating over there as being a FUD spreader. It is plain to see, Warren admitted to the strip mining of Feathercoin to suppress the price, Coblee offered us merge mining. It is pretty easy to connect the dots. Merge mine so all Litecoin miners can join in to the Feathercoin price suppression.

Anyone who supports Litecoin should take a long look at what they are supporting.

LOL looks like my post got locked out! and for good reason, so much for my ignorance in joining forces!

Good call on trying to stay away from those shady guys. Lite coin has become the walmart of the coin industry… Take out the little guys to increase market share!

I guess Feathercoin is Target and Litecoin is like Walmart LOL (American retailer joke)

Too much mud slinging for my liking.

Really what it boils down to, though, is two options, and maybe I’m just dumb, but:

                      1. Litecoin succeeds in romancing Dogecoin, merge mining goes on as proposed, hashrate is absorbed, DOGE gets measured in tens of litoshis instead of hundreds of satoshis. Litecoin holds as the 800 pound gorilla, DOGE was “hey, remember that fun experiment back when —yeah what happened to that? Oh, right, Litecoin Cents. I almost forgot where Litecoin Cents came from.”

                      2. Dogecoin spurns the advances and Litecoin continues it’s steady decline in value along with other alts while DOGE maintains it’s value. Because of the failure of this merged mining attempt, miners that once exclusively mined Litecoin see that the Doge caretakers have grown something of a spine and see future value in it, switching over, marginalizing LTCs hash power, and, well, everything else about it that makes it derivative.

Anyway, I give the DOGE community credit because this time around they’re at least sniffing out “who came from where” and are beating the ever loving shit out of the most obnoxious of the Litecoin forum goers coming over and pretty much issuing ultimatims.

                        Doge has spirit.

But, they skeered of Kevlar’s Link and my Flux.

                        :/

I may decide to reconsider dogecoin.
