[Dev] Introducing featherPay - Point of Sales Device
-
Well after way to many months off from most things feathercoin Im finally back in a place that will allow a small amount of dev time to be spent…
So onwards, I managed last night to get the new client version compiled for running in the device and when I check this morning I had a fully sync’ed block chain :)
The next elements to be worked out are :-
Small bug in the keypad, when you use the keypad on the front of the device you get very unpradicatable results! Anything from multiple button press, thru to application crash :(
Battery pack, at the moment it’s running off an old mobile phone power adapter, I’m hoping to get a battery pack internaly under the keypad that will let the device run for a number of hoursI’ll keep you updated as it progress, and then hopefully we can have a bit of a get together to give it a launch :)

God to read, that you are still working on it, Muddy :)
-
-
Where can I get one?
-
Well that depends on how much your willing to spend on it ;)
-
You want to tell me?
-
I need to do the maths on it and work out a price.
Casing causes the biggest problem as they are not off the shelf, and having them made costs huge amounts in tooling.
The one used in the video is run off a 3D printer, whist acceptable for a prototype not really suitable for sale.

Understood. PM sent.

Battery pack should be here early next week, I already have the charging and power circuits sorted so hopefully very soon it should be able to run in true wireless mode before much longer :)

Just updated the code a little, so that coin price is now from cryptocoincharts.info blended with information from fixer.io to give the fiat value
What does this mean? well up until now the price was from the feathercoin api, which is a little unreliable, and I was limited to AUD, EUR, GBP, NZD, and USD pairings fixer.io gives the ability for some 32 fiat choices

Love your work Muddy

Need to find companies to take a couple of devices off my hands!!
