So ... I went ASIC last night

GAWMiners owner gave big rebates on recent purchases and on Fury purchase he threw in a free controller. Others received straight cash homie, up to $450 I believe. It was due to profitability dropping and he wanted to share the load. Nice guy.
Thanks,
That was the website I was looking at, offer must be over now.
Pay day this Friday, so might snag myself one then.
I’ll try to remember to use your link in this thread so you get the referal

I’m not sure if the offer is mentioned on site, it was emailed to all customers just the other day. You may want to email them up front and ask what offers they have to be sure you get the “rebate” prior to purchase. Thanks for using the link! It should give you $20 off as well.

I have the 44MHash/s Zuesminer Thunder from batch 1 sitting in customs a mere 10 km from where I live… just waiting for them to release it…
I also have the 22MHash/s Thunder x2 coming in July.
You had to go and whoop your big rig out and make me feel lesser than, lulz. =b
I hope to step up to the big leagues one day!

Sorry Tuck :(
I never thought I would buy an ASIC… It was bounced back to Hong Kong, but the next day it was already back in Cairns… They cleared it this time so I might have it up and running in the next 48 - 72 hours.
If it makes you feel any better I’ll be feeding a lot of the mined coins I get, back into the community for projects and bounties etc.

Price went up by another $10 today, fair enough he is rewarding those that paid early.
Just purchased two of them before the price goes up to full, hopefully you will get the referral for them.

Yeah I just noticed that too. That sucks.
Thanks for using the referral link! Hopefully you got $20 off your Order using it.

I got a popup to give me email that sent me a $20 off voucher, I’m assuming that is it.

I just bought a Gridseed 500KHash - 7v. £90 from Amazon. Less than buying the replacement GPU card (from one of my blown ones). It is obviously stuck on scrypt if we change algo tho’.
-
I sold my 4 5970s that were using 1.2KW and producing 3MHs and replaced them with a G Blade that gets about 5800KHs and including the raspberry pi controller uses 90W. Very impressed with it. I would like more but I’m not sure I will get ROI.

Mine FTC while you can, do not sell, wait for pump.

I did get the referral, thanks! $10 off my next one.
-
No problems, they were shipped yesterday from Hong Knong, so if I’m really lucky I will get them tomorrow, else Monday
-
Received my two furys last night, so now along with my one grdiseed I have 2.9Mh/s, bit better than my 300Kh/s I was getting with just my GPU

I ordered a week4 and week5 fury ;-) the week 4 did get picked up today so 6 days late but well, it’s on its way! :) Also purchased a ZenController along with it but it seems there are a lot of problems with it, hope you guys can get everything working smoothly so I can get tips!
-
I am using a Raspberry Pi with just cgminer 3.1.1 compiled on it and it appears to be working file.
Don’t get the pretty Zenminer web page, but I already own 3 Raspberry Pis so wasn’t about to buy another one.
Only issue Ive had so far is I could not get two Furys mining on a USB hub, when I plugged them both directly into the Pi it worked fine.

I received mine on Monday … without the ZenController. The owners brother said it was a mistake that the CEO emailed everyone past week 2 purchases with that offer. =/
I have mine at peak performance as far as I can tell using …
bfgminer.exe --scrypt -o pool:port -u username -p pass --zeus-cc 6 –zeus-clk 333 -S zeus:all
Using 333 I’m getting a 3.7% HW error rate vs the 5.8% I was seeing at 328 or any other setting (like 340).
-
I think I am getting higher than that error rates, will have to check my setting later

Got 2 Gridseeds from Amazon. They cost a bit but I’m only hobbiest / experimenter.
The second one was cheeper, but, although new, came through had obviously been used, so I expect that explains something. It seems to have been at the china end, but we’ll see.
The method of useing the com port creates a new layer of complexity, but was easy with instruction and I learned about gnu/linux with the tty’s in /dev.
I had trouble getting the Gridseed’s to work with cgminer, but they give about 375 KHash with cpu miner. You have to use “Screen”, and start each unit after finding its comm port name.
One thing I found was that under Kubuntu, it was sometimes reported as tty/ACM0 - but you had to use dev/ACM0.
Looking into the Gridseed, it is full computer. You can ssh in and root the unit. Which does not bode well for current “anti ASIC” updates longevity. It also looks like a very interesting very cheap, low powered PC.
This is something that might be a game changer on our perspective on ASICs and how they will effect the development of alternate currencies, if the ASICs are so cheap and can be used for other purposes.

Interesting thought there wrapper.

I picked up another Fury today thanks to a couple of people clicking the affiliate link (thank you!) I received $45 off + 10% discount for the 4th of July, sweet deal!
Only 67 more Fury’s to catch up to Calem! ^-^
