QR Code T-Shirt Automated System
-
Ive found a great site that will deal with all the payments etc and allow you to put a % on top (maybe as a dev fund)
Is this another site, or the one I presented originally? I’ll be chuffed to bits if you’ve found something better/cheaper ;D
With a CIC set up, we could deal with fiat money easily.
There are at least three of these t-shirts in the wild.
-
I made a little progress with the original one after some issues with authentication.
But I found http://www.zazzle.co.uk (I think that’s the one)
It let’s you setup templates and pass any image you like I to the template. So we could generate qr code images or just use static ones for logos etc and it looks pretty easy to setup and use. Or at least no more complex.
-
I hadn’t got as far as checking prices, so don’t know if its better or worse.
I had only checked you could do it and was just floating the idea before I put any big effort into it
-
Yeah that’s a good point I haven’t compared prices either.
Its free to setup both but I guess if he cost of the items are too high no one will buy anything. -
Could be worth while finding a UK based one and a USA based one as I’m guessing those two countries have the largest concentration of FTC users and if we offer it out of both contries it should in theory make postage cheaper for people which would hopefully increase sales, as no one wants to buy a coffee cup for $5 and then have to pay $20 postage on it
-
Anyone got any good Slogans?
Cheesy ones are OK too
I’ll start with a couple of cheesy ones
Feathercoin ‘Watch us fly’
or
Feathercoin, don’t let us fly off without you.
how about:
“Feathercoin - fly with us”

Yeah great idea.
Also
“Feathercoin - fly with us”
+1
-
“Feathercoin - the exalting alt”

One thing I forgot to say is if we do set this up I don’t want to be the one receiving the money.
I’m too new here and I think someone in the UK would be better managing it
-
This was what I thought, one of the reason I didn’t take the project further. The CIC would sort this, as the money would legally belong to that entity.
-
I’m happy to do it.
(If everyone is happy with that?)If so I’ll convert any earnings into Feathercoin manually via bittylicious or an exchange maybe cryptonit? every so often.
I can see if we can all be included in order confirmations so everyone can see I’m being honest! -
http://featherwear.cottoncart.com/
That’s the site I was playing with. They are currently set at cost price, so nobody makes money. I’d be happier if it was feathercoin receiving the fiat, which isn’t realistic unless the CIC was in place or it was Bush’s own paypal to offset some of his server costs.
-
Yes certainly for now Fiat I think is best to help cover some of the ‘real world’ costs such as hosting forums, domain names etc.
If it is needed to be converted to BTC or FTC to pay a bounty thats easy enough to do.
Will check the site now
-
Postage charges are even quiet reasonable to Australia, nice one.
Shame they don’t do stickers too, as car bumper or rear window stickers for a pound or two I think would also be a great item.
We need to come up with some more designs and slogans to choose from now
-
Yeah straight to bush would make more sense as he would then be able to use fiat for hosting etc rather than having to convert crypto.
I think the main issue I found with the cottoncart API was that you could potentially add a new product per person for the qr code items but it wasn’t really designed to be used that way.
Where as on the other one you just pass through the selected template and the generated image. But I see your point about postage etc!
The items seem to be about the same prices on both sites I’ll see if I can find out what the postage costs are.
-
It’s got to be possible, soundwave mug uses it*. :)
*It’s actually their music merch sister site, but I’m told it’s the same API.
Another idea, if we need designs. Why not run a contest?

Although it looks like there are zazzle.co.UK zazzle.com (USA) and zazzle.com.au and possibly more? So it would be mostly local shipping.
