Hello,I am using the Windows GUI miner for Feather coins, and after following the instructions to add the URL, Port, Username, and Password. I get the error:
Miner failed to start. Make sure you have the minerd executable and libraries in the same folder as Feathercoin-Qt.
Also, How does one set up an FC address?
Thank you in advance for any help/advice.
You do not need to mine in order to simply have an FC address. To generate a new address simply click on “Recieve coins” then click “New Address”
If you would like to mine coins, I would suggest using something such as guiminer-scrypt or cgminer.
Also, if you don’t have an ATI GPU to mine with, I really wouldn’t bother, as you’ll consume more in electricity than you will likely ever make from the coins, considering how quickly the difficulty is jumping, and how much power others are throwing at feathercoin right now.

what URL and Port you used?
Miner failed to start. Make sure you have the minerd executable and libraries in the same folder as Feathercoin-Qt.
Feathercoin-Qt is your wallet, put the minerd on the same folder where your Feathercoin-Qt can be found.
ex: if your feathercoin-qt is at C:\Program Files\Feathercoin, then just copy your minerd and paste into C:\Program Files\Feathercoin -

Yes, solo mining doesn’t show any shares accepted.
But if you’re on a pool, there must shares accepted. -
Glad you got it sorted. :)
Just to point out though - where it says HW (next to “A” and “R”) that should be 0 as they are hardware errors.
