Emergency dump - Would like to keep coins in community
-
Hi Zero,
Do you want to drop the whole lot in one go, or is smaller lots acceptable? How small would you go?
Also, what rates are you looking for?
Regards,
Stefan -
$450 in BTC or LTC. I have about 4700. I’d like to keep a few. I was hoping I would receive live627’s Amazon GC for that 4 in 1 deal by now. Mail service has been retarded all around.
I may just dump them all at say $600 total. I’ll have to go back to LTC mining to finish out my contracts.

I’ll give you half of btc-e value, as this is a huge risk. I can do it in LTC or BTC.
That was rude, as it’s a real offer.
Why would I buy from him when I can buy from an exchange at that cost? Either cut me a deal for me helping out or just go solve your own problems.
The same reason that JustaBit and others have donated thousands of FTC to the community, to help out and strengthen it, you were happy enough to be on the receiving end when you accepted the 20FTC JustaBit was offering. It’s called altruism and is alive and well here. You made an offer, zero is free to accept it or reject it and accept other offers as he sees fit.
IMHO your offer looks like profiteering.
Ah, so maybe this should be in the marketplace rather than the main forum as it’s just someone selling his coins rather than being “altrusitic” and supporting the community?
Are you serious? This is basically a backhanded insult.

I think this section is more appropriate for everyone concerned.
So you are wanting to sell 4700 FTC for $600? That puts value of the coins at 0.00102. Way above market rate. I may be willing to help but that is quite the gamble at that rate.

The only mistake here is letting the exchanges, where all the hit and run dumps are happening, decide the value of the coins.
The only risk is using those venues when you can do a lot better by circulating the currency instead of flash burning it.
I’m doing this because I value the fact that I can communicate with the originators of the currency and participate.
Altruism is bending over for someone else regardless of the result. Now as for the price:
- Someone seems to be taking the whole I deserve a better deal because I’m helping you thing as some kind of cosmic law.
- I wouldn’t be selling the coins for less than 10 times what they are right now, so you are getting a better deal.
- Just as you can get a better deal on the exchanges so can I.
- I just happen to know that if you only chase the nearest gain, you become a slave to the process.
I think that $600 for 4700 and keeping it in the community where it can be found easily is a better option than having them end up in the hands of people who will never build anything.
So we should pay you more than market value but you are unwilling to sell for less than market value, based on nothing more than your-say-so?
good luck. you want more than market and it’s an emergency? well well…let’s just think about how that makes no sense.

It’s an emergency, not an impossible situation. Guess I’ll know who to call when it’s impossible.
Buddy,
If I wanted to buy 600 bucks worth of FTC, I would, and it would be in the community, but *If* I did, it would be a shit load more than 4700 and still in the community.
The situation you propose is illogical and down right stupid.

Using a price that is not based on hysterics on the exchanges is NOT IN ANY WAY STUPID. I told you. I value these coins at a much larger amount. I am already reducing my price from my estimation of their near term value.
Cheers.

Hit and run prices are not real. The great thing about the free market is that it’s a billion times bigger than any single website. You seem to think the only thing the market is for is trading value. It’s also for balancing against out of control power and influence.

Easy guys… No need to get in an argument. Lets just drop it, I will help him out. My contribution to the community so to speak.
