Feathercoin Core 0.11.1.1 Launch

Dear users,
Now, we won’t be able to stay. I’m glad we’re still in progress. I launch core 0.11.1.1 on Github. Feathercoin Core 0.11.1.1 based on the latest Bitcoin code.It synchronous data is very fast, spend five or six hours to finish all blockchain.
The version is for block.version 3,the newest core wallet gives us a strong body.We should accept new things,build new functions on this basis.

Just installed 0.11.1.1 - full blockchain sync in 2 hours 15 mins. Amazing!

Just noted a bug with the daemon transaction frequency calculation, error message, 4 * 60 = 240

anyone else have issues with this release?
mine does the complete chain rescan each time, after about 3 times, the answer to that would be to re download the blockchain.
i had another functioning blockchain on another comp so transfered that fresh one over (as well as unistalling and reinstalling the new client) but yeah again still the same issue.

The only thing I know is, that 0.11.1 has a different version and a different format to store bc information, so that is needs to download the full bc at first start.

Nevertheless this should happen only once

On windows…I installed 0.11.1.1

Sycned block chain
left running for 3 days
65 connections this morning
I restarted the machine
feathercoin core says I need to reindex
attempts to reindex and then crashes with “Feathercoin-QT has stopped working” the usual windows error.

I’ve used a different data dir 3 times and resynced 3 times, the second I close Feathercoin core and try to open again…I get the above error.

Any ideas ?

yes I got exactly the same crash and error after about 3 reindex, its why i reinstalled the client after the 3rd resync.

(i’m now redownloading the blockchain which will take many days, though i doubt that will help as i’ve already tried several seperate copies of the blockchain).

please try to start feathercoind with -tindex in order to create an index at first run.

I’m not sure, if it helps, but there is a chance that the problem is avoided that way.

This did not work for windows…still crashes around 15 seconds after opening.

ok, then I leave it to @lizhi , who is running the windows version. As I only run on Linux, I can’t help here, I’m afraid

At first start 0.11.1 ,you need to download the full blockchain again . because 0.11.1 run block version 3 ,not version 2. It is a different format to store blockchain information.

Some how it started working as normal.

Steps:

1 - backup all your wallets, private keys etc
2 - remove any Feathercoin Directory in %AppData%
3 - Downloaded and installed this build of FTC Core 0.11.1 from Lizhi http://www.ftc-c.com/pack4/feathercoin-setup.exe
4 - Synced FTC block chain in record time!
5 - all working as normal! I was able to close FTC core, open again with no problems. restarting the machine and then opening FTC core was also fine.
6 - Profit ?

Either the build I had of FTC core was poo poo (I cant remember where I got it…) or there’s something wrong with my machine…I have RAID SSDs and one of them is about to die…but I doubt that could cause this…

how much CPU is FTC core 0.11.1.1 supposed to be using on average ? after a full blockchain sync ?

i reverted back to an older client, no choice new one just won’t cooperate.

lol i am not sure what you mean by your question. i tried core 0.11.1.1 and simply could not get it to work, not through lack of trying and wasting a ton of time.

simple solution go back to a previous version til the bugs are ironed out.

@kelsey - did you try the steps I mentioned above including downloading the the build from Lizhi ?

mines still working after multiple shutdowns/restarts so I’m assuming now it’s working as normal.

I update core to 0.11.2 , We can keep up with bitcoin.
Core 0.11.2 add BIP65, ability to implement OP_CHECKLOCKTIMEVERIFY.
