Presidential election in the United States ,2016

Voted for Trump, At least I like him.
-
I don’t like politicians. They lie too much.
-
Im not a fan of either candidate, my vote will be going to a third party.
-
Voting for a 3rd party, that has no chance to win helps the candidate you don’t like most
btw, I will never be able to understand the US way of selecting their president and how the campaigns are made.
For an European guy it’s simply crazy.
-
@Wellenreiter Honestly, I hate the mentality that voting for someone other than the top two is a waste. By that same logic, I might as well not vote at all. Id rather my vote go towards someone I actually want rather than just the better of two evils. If everyone thought this way we would have a lot better people in office.
And as American, I HATE the way we vote into office. -
I thought, there are only two candidates…
If there are more, why only Clinton and Trump are on television? Not voting is even worse than voting for another candidate.
-
@Wellenreiter Look at Canada, the NDP lost a pile of seats in the house, multi party systems exist. There is no reason other than the current powers that be wanting to hold onto power to maintain a 2 party system. I know in Maine we are working towards enacting a ranked choice voting system… it may never happen but its the best way to vote PERIOD.
I wont be voting for either of the 2 main parties this election cycle. I need to see some real action and results at a national level from either party before they can get my votes back.

The American voting system is insane …dare I say it’s worse than the very very ancient and archaic political system we have in the UK.
Trump is possibly the worst candidate as he has no previous experience for being a president or anything related to politics…at the same time Hilary is a liar…but aren’t most politicians ?
Personally I want Trump to win so America will wake the fuck up when he eventually does something so stupid that entire countries will start looking at the USA oddly…and thinking…“How could so many people vote in such an idiot”
The worst bit about all of this is that unless America really changes…they are headed down a very very dark path.
the USA owe the rest of the world 19 Trillion Dollars…most of that is owed to Europe and China.
The time for Crypto is now!!!

There ARE more candidates but the way the system works, only two get any real exposure. Its a flawed system. Everyone thinks they only have these two choices but they really can vote for anyone. Even Micky Mouse gets votes http://prospect.org/article/if-you-give-mouse-vote

US Debt is actually not as bad as most like to think, the majority of it is held within the US itself and the #1 and #2 countries that we borrowed from are China and Japan. Believe it or not some months Japan holds more debt than China…
Even if the US goes 100% belly up its only like 6.5 Trillion in debt outside of the US which is not going to happen.

Imagine if the top 1% actually paid taxes, I wonder how much of this national debt has been created by the top 1% buying US politicians so they don’t ever have to pay taxes.
I am sure this happens in other countries but this is how politics in the US of rich Assholes works. Earn Money -> pay off politicians to allow you to keep operating, make more money, or kill your competition -> Earn more money -> buy more political power -> repeat loop till tax rate reaches 0%, you legally have no competition, and have politicians willing to defend you to the death.
Trump has been spouting a huge TAX BREAKS (he stated last debate he wants to cut it to 15% about half their current tax rate)for the wealthy as his plan to make ‘America Great Again’. All is really means is ‘My friends have been running out of tax breaks I need to give them more’.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t trust the Dems with HRC either, she has been a 1% corporate wall street shill for years. Just because she adopted a lot from Bernie Sander’s platform does not mean she has changed. I expect her to be just as bad as Obama, all campaign talk and no action. Obama could have done a lot but took a ultra conservative presidency and will be unremarkable as a president in our history books other than having the title of first black president of the USA.

Oh thanks! I apologise and stand corrected! I read about Japan owning debt and it going back to the World Wars etc…but this was on ZeroHedge and everything on there is all Gloom and Doom :(

The politicians are just hand wavers. The real power currently is in corperations, military and banks. It is open knowledge the BBC and MPs were threaten with anthrax etc after 9/11, they do as told.
One solution I have worked on is to monitor the effect of political policy or the effect of industry, independently.
The distributed blockchain technology being an important facility required to make that happen.
One of my ex colleagues (from my work at Manchester University before I was disabled), is assisting me to gradually discus and move the project forward. It’s always 3 steps back, he is still on windows and doesn’t know Github etc ). Some interest from Huddersfield University.

Human survival depends on a suitable environment. The population needs to be as cleaver and informed in order to act against any real dangers. In the past ideas could be tested in the environment, in that was so large it could recover, or at least stabilise, even if at the disadvantage of other species. The current idea is that open condition monitoring could facilitate the invention and distribution of citizen monitoring sensors, develop distributed storage via block chain and help produce compile reports on Github. It could also look to see how data could be imported from other sources.
Monitoring parameters is fine but it is also important that these are attached to decisions, maintenance or policies so they can be calibrated to indicate what is happening in the real world.

As of today:
‘Climate change is just weather’
Women’s right to choose will go away
Supreme court will flip conservative for the next 20 years
You are a 1st class citizen if you are a white male, all others your rights will be infringed as you are now a second class citizen
No more public healthcare, you better get a high paying job that come with it
If you are an american ‘ally’ you better be ready to defend yourself because Trump wont do shit

At least you had a diverse option by voting Trump.
I am from Greece, guess what our choices are :(
Ps. I don’t like Hillary or Trump. I dislike Trump less though. He is a businessman, not a politician and i am really curious to see what his actions and impact of those will be.
