      I wish I had more muscles for programming. Just a thought about wallets where cash value could also be shown rounded to exchange prices. Senders and receivers would know the cash value of transactions, aside from the amount of FTC

        @knightfang actually 1FTC = 1FTC

          Well, the Android wallet already gives exchange rates, but not the FIAT value of a given transaction

            Thanks, it’s a good idea and FTC already paid bounties to have conversion facilities in the wallet. In the end though, these relied on the good will / stability of commercial businesses, so had to be removed when one went bust and one got hacked. The FTC wallet is am open source demonstration of the blockchain facility, anyone is free to make their own wallets with additional facility.

            Although, I could envision a generic system where the user can input a link to various exchanges, to get a price, most traders will need to go online to trade anyway.

              @wrapper Can’t recall who mentioned this site, but https://fsight.chain.tips has USD conversion for block transactions. If this site is maintained by a mod/dev here, perhaps that’s a/the place to maintain an active exchange conversion from which the wallet app can pull? :grimacing:

                Api.feathercoin.com also provides exchange rates to several FIAT currencies

                  Hello. I maintain that site. The USD conversion for FTC is pulled in via the coinMarketCap.com api.

                  @Wellenreiter makes a fair point that the API.Feathercoin.com service provides the exchange rate in multiple FIAT currencies. Fsight only converts to USD.
