I created a Bootstrap.dat to test the sync time. I can create a new one and upload it to your “dropbox” or something, it’s about 2.2GB.

Unfortunately, it is not usually the peers, as we found out recently when i tested the bootstrap and it took the same time to sync.

Could we upload an official one to Github? especially / whilst we can get an updated version of Feathercoin 0.9.6.3 out … (We’ve got a lot of work in that needs testing)

@wrapper That’s very nice of you. If you send me an email address, I’ll invite you to share a box folder where you can upload bootstrap.dat! I’ll make a torrent of it and share it with others here. In my experience with other qt wallets it cuts time to 1/2 to 1/3. Still a long time but significantly shorter.

You can use a temporary email like mailinator.com or one of their alternate domains like bobmail.info, which goes down better.
