Help setting up a p2pool
-
Hey guys,
I’ve been mining FTC for several months now, and was wanting to get some help setting up a p2pool for central Canada. My only issue is that it seems quite hard to actually set one up, in comparison to simply mining. I asked on r/feathercoin but was directed here.
Thanks -
It’s a while, but i ran p2pool on a server and at home on my LAN (good way to test), don’t remember it being that difficult. I am on Ubuntu / Linux, but p2pool can run on any cpu. You need to have a node running as well, but you can use the PPA.

@globus
can you describe the problems you face? -
@wellenreiter I’m currently in the midst of setting it up within a VM using ubuntu. I’m currently running Windows 10.
I’m stuck on the installing the feathercoin daemon. The walkthrough I was following lead me as far as this. What’s my problem here? -
I used the link @Wellenreiter posted and compiled on OS X with no problems at all. Just followed the README. Make sure you get the pre-reqs loaded first.

@globus
