Need help!! Conflicted Transaction... how can I get my coins back?
-
I had a wallet that was several years old. Before it had sync’d to the network I tried to send my balance of Feathercoins to Bittrex. The transaction is marked as conflicted. Now I have no idea what to do or how to get my coins back.
I updated my wallet about and was able to get a 100% sync to the network…which took THREE WEEKS! and today I saw there was a an updated wallet available, so I downloaded it.
When trying to open the wallet AVAST caught it as malware and sent the program into my virus chest. I disabled AVAST and reinstalled. Wallet is open and up to date but my transaction is still conflicted. What can I do to get these coins back??
I do have a backup of the old wallet with the coins but I’m not sure how to load a wallet from the backup or if that would even work

Did you upgrade to 0.9.6.2 before you tried to send your coins ?
what version of Feathercoin are you using ? What OS are you using? You say AVAST, so I assume Windows ?
- check your Wallet Address at fsight.chain.tips and confirm your FTC is still in there as a first step.

Conflicted transactions are double spending or made with outdated wallet. Cured by renewing blockchain data. Delete you blockchain data folder (copy, just in case, before!) and download new. Yes, it takes long time. Sync or “renew” option not always working.
