Wallet 0.9.6.2 crashes on startup (Mac OS X 10.9.5)

As the title says, the Feathercoin wallet 0.9.6.2 crashes on startup on OS X 10.9.5.
Is there any chance of compiling it so it will work on older versions of OS X? Not everyone likes the new versions of macOS or are even able to update to these versions.

It doesn’t work on 10.11 either, only because the wallet in the .dmg shows the “circle with slash” over it, like it’s a 32-bit app or something. I’m stuck on 10.11 until the new modular Mac shows its face… ;)
0.9.6.1 worked on 10.11 only after @AcidD recompiled it on a 10.11 virtual machine. Most coins don’t support anything before 10.11 anyway because of dependency versioning.

lol it’s getting annoying supporting 10.9.5 since it’s sooo old!
I’ve not been able to get the time to release a binary that is backwards compatible. it is on my list of things to do.
