Another Newb to mining

Hi. I’m Tat. Totally new to this. Going to try mining. Not really into it for any great success, but the computer is wasted when I’m not playing. And for my question: Do I have to use the machine 24/7 for mining only? Or can I play when I want to play (gaming) and then mine when I’m not? And where can one use feathercoin?

first of all welcome to the forum. :DYou’ll get the best results, if you are mining 24 hours a day, as most, if not all pools use an algorithm to calculate the miners rewards, that prefers continuous miners compared to miners just hopping on and off the pool.
If you are mining only if you are not playing, but the mining time is several hours a day, you still should earn some coins each day.
The calculation of the miner rewards is done when the pool finds a block, and as long as you have submitted work to find that block, you’ll be rewarded. -
