New to Feathercoin

Hi
I recently (two months ago) came to know feathercoin and immediately liked the project. Purchased around 3k in dips and stored them in my wallet. I want to go all the way and support the project by moving my etherum mining rig to mine feathercoin. As this is an old coin, there are lots of outdated news out there. Before committing fully to feathercoin, I want to know that how is development going for this coin? Especially the marketing team. I know the tech is solid, but without proper marketing, the coin can stagger until newer techs come and replace it. Are there any marketing plans?thank you

Development seems to be going well. (yay bushstar, wrapper, wellenereiter, acidD and others) I’ve been woefully uninvolved due to limits on my time but they (bushstar and the others) are actively developing/testing the next release.
In terms of marketing plans, we don’t (its a community, you are involved too!) have any plans i know of… Sure there may be someone out there with plans but i don’t about about know it.

The thing is as a community we need to have coordinated effort in marketing. That coordination must come from the development team. Social media presence is vital in this day and age. Look at Tronix, a shitcoin that became a phenomenon only through social media hype. In this day and age, marketing must come before everything else.
The forum is pretty silent, only one reply to my post. Even if the tech is in active development, without proper marketing this coin will never grow beyond a pump and dump target. It has everything that a crypto needs to grow, it has history, solid tech, listed in good exchanges. But it is mostly unheard of among the newer additions to the crypto space who are eager to buy in. -

if you want to take an active roll in marketing the coin to the masses, i would start up a new thread (or join chime in on an old one) in either feathercoin discussion or in projects. I dont know much about how that would be approached. And i know nothing about what has been done previously but others do.

@j_scheibel thank you for your reply and your time. I guess we should wait for the SegWit and lightening network to be implemented then wait for the marketing phase. Let’s hope for the best
