How did you get started?

Hello all! New miner here and just joined the forum.
I’m trying to get everything figured out, learn the ropes and tweak my hardware and settings for optimal performance for my efforts. I think I’ve tried about 10 different miner programs and a dozen different coins to mine…Feathercoin so far has been my favorite. My GPU seems to handle it well, with good speed and reliability, and keeping my temps low.
I think I’ve determined that ccminer (tpruvot) is the fastest on my hardware; followed closely by nsgminer.

Just curious from everyone, what got you started (and when)? What is your favorite coin(s) to mine? What’s your least favored coin to mine? What miner do you use? Solo or Pool (which pool is your favorite)?

Hi and welcome to the community.

I bought GPU’s a long long time ago and used them to mine BTC, then LTC and now FTC. I really only believe in those coins…cos I’m old skool.

I’ve been watching some of the newer ones but have not mined or invested at all.

I use AMD cards so @Ghostlanders NSGMiner is the fastest and most stable for me.
