I for one will be telling a few of my friends that have been watching by the sidelines scoffing at cryptocurrencies this is a discussion that will want to listen in on. WAY TO GO!

This is something I had been thinking about. I’m not sure what the solution is but there is a problem here. There may eventually be 21 million Bitcoins but that many will never be accessible.

When banks start on these coins they’ll be centralised and issues like this will be resolvable. It would be ideal if the community could solve problems like this before big money gets involved.

Personally, I’m riding my investment in the long term, as in I’m holding the bulk until 2016 or so at least. Once the price gets a little more desirable I’m gonna sell a small portion just so I have my ROI. I’ve tried gambling with the market a bit, but I’d make a little then my next buy it would just drop like half in price so I’m done with playing the market -.-

And not necessarily any of the early adopters, I mean “fontas” can dump loads of BTC and grow it too haha. But anyone who did that and did see a pump from what they bought would just sell it again unfortunately.

I was mining in my own private pool for the last couple days with one other dude and we found one block and one orphan. I think people with more hardware are likely solo mining, so that should keep 51% less likely until the diff grows some more. I would massively support someone sharing what they’ve done to make stratum work correctly with mmcfe and pushpool, though - great suggestion! Setting up stratum with ltc and ftc is a huge pain - I can’t get it to work right.

And that’s true. Someone could make a new pool, or use an existing pool, and use any extra from pool fees towards those rewards.
