Greetings,
My name Arnout, from it4md.
I have been following the fuss around cryptocurrencies for a while now and feathercoin seems to have the best community…

Hello, and welcome!!!
We, from it4md, a company based in Belgium, have recently started a project involving cryptocurrencies.
What are we doing?
We are developping an open source software to ensure safe communication for medical information.
You don’t want your neighbours to find out about your STD results right?
For this we will use the power of P2P to store and encrypt the data. In this project we will use Feathercoin as the main currency for
development
use FTC as a means to pay people for their storage and bandwith.
Want to find out more: feel free to visit http://www.cryptconnect.com
If your interested? feel free to ask questions and if you want to support our cause: feel free to donate for this entirely Open Source project.

Not exactly open source, is it? I mean there’s no source, or even a specification for how this will work. For instance, p2p is about sharing information freely, but it’s very difficult to incentivise people to store and broadcast other people’s encrypted data. Encrypted email works GREAT for this purpose, and storing people’s medical information on stranger’s hard drives/networks isn’t exactly the best way to make it ‘secure’, not to mention there’s already a shit-ton of laws in places against cloud-computing with regards to medical storage. No hospital in the world would use a technology like this.
Perhaps you could offer us some more details on this project, like how you plan on getting around all the privacy laws that state that all records must be stored securely on a server under their control and not shared with the outside world on a p2p network?
