It proceeded to reconcile 64.000.00 some odd blocks before it was sync up( it took I think about 4 hours). I purchased .01 Litecoin on ebay and it loaded into the wallet to test it and it was fine. Okay the Question ( you knew I would get there) I’m I going to need a dedicated machine to run a wallet or wallets? This is all really new to me so go easy.

Also one last thing. Is there any way to earn money by getting merchants to accept Feathercoin as payment. Can I earn Feathercoins?

That depends on you CPU of course, but typically you get between 2 - 5 or even 8 khash/sec.

To be honest, it’s not worth trying unless it’s a test for your setup and pool connectivity

Yes, and that is exactly what makes no sense to me.

For example, I can connect to give-me-coins:3334 (ltc pool), but if I change the port to 3336 (ftc pool) and keep everythin else the same, no connection, same errors as in first post.

Another thing, I installed ftc client to my laptop that is connected via same router as my pc, instant connection and syncin up. I think there’s something wrong with my windows settings in my pc. Dunno what tho. I’ve already checked firewall

The exchanges, they are easy to get into if you have BTC to begin with. If not you can try ebay or craigslist. I sell a few hundred a week on ebay but honestly they are marked up pretty high to cover fees etc so its not the best for cost effectiveness.

Its a well known problem, if your client “stucks” just close it and reopen it, that should fix the problem for now.

As to the price dollarwise of Feathercoin, that is yet to be determined. Over time of course.
Not every crypto currency will soar to the moon just because it is a crypto currency.
That is my thinking anyway. The ones which has a lot of support and member determination will
help in acceptance around the world.
So, anyone interested in Feathercoin can help by just posting on this forum. Adding a few coins along
also can help. I am really glad to see a lot of interest in mining. Without lots of interest in that part of our
community, it would move along at a much slower rate of growth.
