\[Superseded by 0.6.4.4\] Feathercoin 0.6.4 - Hard Fork at block 33,000
-
just a few more blocks :)

Maybe the stat software is not reporting correctly?
Seems like a very long block to find!
I had to restart my miner to sync with the pool I am running on. Maybe it has something to do with this ? I know it should not…
The stats page will be updated. Then it will look a lot better :)
The blocks seem to be going slower. A user called dodg_not_botnet seems to be away at the moment. He comes and goes on the fc.dontmine.me pool with about 100,000KH/s.
I am working on a way to get some more hash power to the pool other than my two new graphics cards that still have not arrived. I will give you more details shortly.

waiting on 2 more 7950s myself…stupid backorders 8)
-
Sweeet, seems the hardfork will right after i get two more rigs! (4x6970,2x7990,1x6950)
-
is there anyway to tell if the pool we connect to has been updated?
-
it is supposed to be the same pool. You just need the client to be the good one and it will take the good one in the future, at block 33,000.
-
Updated and in sync! Nicely done. :)
I’ve contacted all the pools I know of by email and PM to upgrade. It might help if people contact them directly just to make sure that they get the message.

Question: if we haven’t opened the client in over a week, will this new client pick up the old transactions for us as well, or do we open the old one, sync, then install the new one?
The new client uses the same block chain so everything is still there exactly the same.
Got it. Thanks!
Also, for confirmation (since there are a lot of smaller pools as well), how can we confirm whether or not the pool is switched over when the 33,000 block comes? My fear is we’ll have a lot of people seemingly getting valid hashes when in fact they aren’t or something.

We are compiling a list of updated pools. When we get nearer the time I will put the list on the first post of this thread. Do not get worried, there is still plenty of time.
Sounds good. Thanks! Also, sent you a PM regarding this (to get this thread back on topic).

Many Thanks for Hard Fork.
-
great, now we can move forward :)
-
Thanks bush! 8)

Thanks bush.
I don’t like the wording of this “hard Fork” I feel like it’s more of a light spork.
-
Worked like a champ on OS X 10.8. Thank you!
Himmmmm… *evil glare*
He’s the one with the million ftc !!! We should all go knock on his door and ask to borrow his mining factory, with the little gpu elves scurrying across the floor into the shadows. Small piles of crytpodust in the corners of his mansion, a single lit candle whispering in the distance as he can’t put on the lights or his house pops.
A butler covered in silicon paste and cuts all over hius knuckles… dry blood on his pinky finger, will simply shoe us plebeians back into the street, but we must try!!!
Willy Dodgy and the Mining Factory… Oh who’d be a charlie in the real story where he doesn’t get the whole lot as a big surprise in the happy ending, and instead dies of old age, cold in a street corner, holding onto his usb stick with his wallet on it…
Oo
